With Spring Break in full swing, drivers are paying more at the pump compared to last week. Californians are seeing an average of $4.66 per gallon, a two cent increase from last week, while the national average went up three cents to $3.15.

While gas prices increase this time of year and peak during summer, the national average remains about 40 cents lower than last year due to tepid gasoline demand and weak crude oil prices.

According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gasoline demand decreased from 8.81 b/d last week to 8.64. Total domestic gasoline supply decreased from 240.6 million barrels to 239.1. Gasoline production decreased last week, averaging 9.2 million barrels per day.

You guys are so funny. When Biden was in office has was Biden’s fault and when Trump is in office it is Newsom’s fault. Wither y’all don’t understand how gas prices work or there’s some partisan blaming happening. But facts clearly aren’t important to any of you so I don’t know why I even bother commenting.

You so funny!
Biden and Newsom have intentionally restricted supply and raised prices.

Please tell us what are the facts?

We never had a reprieve. I track the costs I pay, and we’re back to where prices were mid-February, course now it’s under the guise that it’s the summer blend. Basically pricing went us .20 in a week. Californians pay the highest price in the nation. Oddly, we have refineries nearby, which appears to make no difference. This is greed, pure and simple, by the gas industry.

Look up who makes the most amount of money per gallon of gas sold in California and you tell me who is being greedy! It is state and local agencies that are robbing the people blind without ever putting a dollar towards maintaining these aging refineries!

Why is it California has no crude oil pipelines from rest of the US?
IF there were a pipeline railroads would see a drop in revenue.
Unelected bureaucrats carb have influence over pricing.
