The following is from the Martinez Police Department:

On March 15, 2025, at approximately 4:46 a.m., officers responded to Hale Court in
Martinez on a report of someone heard yelling, “Intruder.” Upon arrival, officers contacted a resident who reported that a male adult known to him entered the resident’s home without permission and attacked him. During the incident, the reported intruder sustained significant injuries. He was transported by ambulance to a local trauma hospital, where medical staff later pronounced him deceased. The Martinez Police Investigations Bureau responded to the scene. The resident is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. This investigation is in the early stages and our understanding of what happened may change as individuals are interviewed and evidence is collected and analyzed. The names of the parties involved are being withheld pending further investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Rubio at (925) 372-3454 or at erubio@cityofmartinez.org.

Good to see someone fighting back in their home trespassing and attacking hearsay has it. If entirely true resident gets a thumbs up!

Well…if the description is accurate, the homeowner didn’t do anything wrong.

Ya, that old boy died of natural causes,,,,natural to line of work he was in.

I’ve lived in Martinez and the homeless there are in class all by themselves and this is par for the course. Wierdest bunch of screaming drunks i’ve ever seen.

Good for the home owner. He had the right to protect himself whether he knew him or not. In today’s world, quick action is needed.
