As a kid, we would ride our bikes to Thrifty, get a triple scoop, and then ride over to Heather Farms and play all day. I think it was 10 cents for a single, 15 for a double, and a whopping 20 cents for a triple.

Rite-Aid near Lunardi’s in the Palos Verdes Plaza still has an “ice cream bar” …. well, sort of …. Prices aren’t what we were used to though
