Safeway is now selling Thrifty Ice Cream in the freezer section (obviously). Now only if they’d scoop it for us and put it in a cone!

Brings back good memories…
As a kid, we would ride our bikes to Thrifty, get a triple scoop, and then ride over to Heather Farms and play all day. I think it was 10 cents for a single, 15 for a double, and a whopping 20 cents for a triple.
Those we’re the days 45 cents a scoop.
Rite-Aid near Lunardi’s in the Palos Verdes Plaza still has an “ice cream bar” …. well, sort of …. Prices aren’t what we were used to though

30 cents for two scoops
45 cents for three scoops
