On February 19, the City of Concord held a scoping meeting to gather public input on the scope of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Program. This project is being completed as required by California state law, which mandates local governments to take “meaningful steps” to address housing disparities and promote inclusive, equitable, and affordable housing opportunities, particularly for underserved communities. The work done to date includes identifying potential areas for multifamily residential development. A series of evaluations led to the selection of several sites for rezoning, which are intended to “support more diverse housing options and improve community integration.” Written comments on the scope of the EIR will be accepted through March 7, 2025. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their feedback to Justin Ezell at justin.ezell@cityofconcord.org. More information about the AFFH program can be found at www.cityofconcord.org/AFFH

No, just no. This is going to keep destroying the neighborhood
The death of single family zoned neighborhoods 😢
Hell no & why do we keep electing the people in charge? These people are not representing us in any way shape or form…
Governor Newsom & the democrats won’t be happy until they turns a lot of state into a ghetto. This map shows some of Concord’s nicest neighborhoods…and we’re trying to destroy them?
Of course! The idea is to crash the standard of living to 1/3 of what it is now. Should create quite a mess but might result in simpler living which is NOT what they are looking for. These people are just stupid because all they care about is money, their money. Even right now the economy is Humpty Dumpty and all the Trump crew may not be able to put it together again. May you live in interesting times.
No way …. destroying the little open space we have left and can you imagine the traffic if that was converted to housing?! NO!!
