A gunshot wound victim was dropped off at John Muir hospital in Concord this afternoon just before three 3 p.m. The victim is in stable condition and is expected to be transported to another hospital. No word yet on exactly where the shooting occurred, but we’re hearing it happened at a park in Concord.
UPDATE: It appears the shooting was at Meadow Homes Park in Concord
It happened at Meadow Homes Park.
Ruh-roh, . . . .
Meadow Homes Park is next to a school and well within 1,000, foot gun free zone.
Must not have seen them thar metal signs on poles around schools that say “gun free zone”.

I live within 1000′ of three schools (as the crow flies). I own guns. Does that make me a criminal now? Hmmmm…
I have no idea
It was a bit of a rhetorical question.
“Doctor, an ambulance is headed in with a gunshot victim”
“Oh my! let’s get ready….where was he shot?”
“Right in Meadow Homes Park”
Read for yourself. No need to read very far. More information almost never a bad thing.

One teen at last week’s Student Walk Out was reported as “carrying” and Police were looking for him… (but this probably isn’t related…….
Seems a thoughtful gesture. I mean it’s better than just splitting
and letting them die.
Can we please just get it together? There is obviously a serious rift in the community, whether it be kids/parents or adults. People are dysfunctional, angry, mentally compromised, destitute, hopeless.
There needs to be some support from somewhere.
Going to church is a good start
The cop car in the foreground is in need of a new set of tires. I hope the officer doesn’t
have to chase someone in the rain.
He’s probably been doing donuts.
Dr. Jellyfinger,

If you’ve seen the way a very small number of Concord Police Officers drive, the condition of those tires are very explainable. Those few CPD Officers have absolutely no respect for the way they treat the peoples property and are a danger on Concord’s roadways.
