The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.
The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday in the noon hour.
How long have you lived in your current home, and do you think you’ll ever move into another home in the same city (or a nearby city)?
Talk about it….
….. long time …. and no, staying put
All my life in Ca. “loved it” but not a financially viable place to retire in. Yes you can but when working for a goal financially it does not work here.
Almost 40 years.
IF the tide actually turns here in CA, I might stay. If we continue on the same trajectory we’re on, I’ll be out of here in 5 years. As a small business owner, it has become foolishness to stay in CA.
I’m hopeful that people are waking up to the damage that has been done to our once beautiful and economically powerful state, it’s not too late to reverse it, but time is getting short.
Good Ol’ Newscum!!!! he single handedly ruined Cali
That’s absurd.
Newsom has shown nothing but contempt for small business owners.
It will be forty-one years in April, or is it May? I’m nor sure, but sometime around there.
I would not want to move to another home in the same city, and the only nearby city I
would consider is Benicia, Martinez, or Danville. I doubt it will ever happen because my
home is paid for, and I don’t feel like packing up all my stuff and moving.
But I will never say never, because I don’t know what the future holds.
We have been in our house 45 years, …paid off.
Only time will tell for a reason we leave.
Coming up on 34 years. And no, no plans to move. But “…the best laid plans of mice and men…”
House has been in the family 62 years.
.
Too old to move and we want to stay near
daughter, grand kids and great grand kids.
.
Daughter and grand kids sometimes chauffeur us around now.
Haven’t gotten around yet to ASKING every ten minutes,
“ARE WE THERE YET ? “
17 years
no. I’ve been told by State Farm that I can not purchase home insurance on any new residence.
This was before the LA fires. I am afraid what is going to happen to insurance in our near future.
20 years and time to move out my condo have a never ending leaks
Looking for another condo now somewhere in Concord
47 years so far and no plans to leave, as we love it here in Clayton. However, this state has become so dysfunctional that you never know……
26 years in June and leaving as soon as I am able to retire.
I bought this house new in 1968 and am enjoying the fruits of my labor. California has been good to me and my family. I am now living quite comfortably in this booming economy. Unfortunately many see California’s successes as something they don’t share in. I see it as a place where the brass ring was made available to all who wanted to try to get it. The naysayers complain but can’t see how much better off we are here as compared to many much poorer states.
