The Concord Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Valliani Jewelers inside the Sunvalley Shopping Center. On November 25, at approximately 6:10 PM, several suspects, wearing hoods and masks and armed with hammers, entered the store and used the tools to shatter glass display cases, stealing numerous pieces of jewelry. Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene in two vehicles.
No injuries were reported during the incident. This is an active and ongoing investigation, and no further details are available for release at this time. The Concord Police Department urges anyone with information about this case to contact Detective Justin Wilson at 925-603-5859.

Is that the same jewelry store that was just looking for an armed security guard I wonder. Crime at Sun valley mall has been out of control for years apparently it is not a high priority for the police department or the mall itself that’s the main reason I never go there

Crime at Sun Valley is out of control because, people and criminals, are coming from areas where malls have closed (Antioch, San Francisco) to do their shopping or commit thievery. If Sun Valley were to close, then crime would shift to Broadway Plaza. The Willows, or The Veranda.

Repeat robbery? Sounds like they may have done done more than once….. good luck CPD!

  1. You know if the jewelry stores are still stupid enough to have regular glass display cases that shatter easily then that’s on them. Get with the times upgrade your display cases glass to unbreakable.

Better yet, employees arm yourselves and shoot them. You’re being robbed and your lives are threatened you have every right to shoot them right then and there.

Works925,
.
Unless Sun Valley Mall has changed their policy, they don’t allow shoppers and employees to have firearms on/in Sun Valley Mall property.

Or better yet, keep the real jewels in a safe, and use fake jewels in the display case.

Oh sure, they’re too stupid to know the difference.
Shooting them is the only way to take care of the vermin.

Walking through sunvalley mall was weird recently, there are so many jewelry stores and so many places with guards. Felt dystopian.

Why do people buy jewelry anyway? Jewels like diamonds and emeralds are literally indistinguishable from cheap manmade alternatives without the use of magnification – yet people pay huge money for unethically sourced shiny rocks.

Things like diamonds and golds have extremely important industrial uses which they can better be utilized for.

All you married folk should look down at your fingers and feel shame, you supported extremely violent exploitative industries and got nothing out of it but 5% trade in value.

I look down at my middle finger and it’s pointing directly up at you.
