The following is from the Concord Police Department:

On 10/27/2024, while patrolling, one of our officers spotted a vehicle commit several traffic violations. As the officer tried to pull the car over, the suspect began speeding away to evade law enforcement. After a pursuit, the driver abandoned the car and tried to escape on foot. Officers quickly detained him, and during their search, found a loaded pistol hidden in a backpack he discarded. The suspect was arrested and booked for firearm offenses, and sent to county jail. The Concord Police Department is dedicated to keeping our community safe.

Name? City? Mugshot?

Thank you for your good work, Concord PD.

Now do your job, DA Becton. No catch and release and no restorative justice program for this criminal.

This guy must be a fan of the narcos TV show. A fake gold plate.

I don’t blame him for carrying a firearm in today’s crazy California. He would have been OK in Wyoming or Texas. I carry pepper spray everyday now.

Sorry Guido, no state in the union allows a felon to possess a firearm

The article does not mention he is a Felon? In some states convicted Felons can have their gun rights restored if their crime was not violent. Some states also allow felons to own black powder firearms.

Likely stolen, started life as a nice pistol. 1911 based .40 with ported, extended main spring stem, in stainless. Lose the pimp grips and clean all the stupid off it, probably a nice shooter. Can’t tell the manufacturer. Looks like it’s setup for left handed. Or that’s a criminally small mag release button. Barrel tip looks wonky too.

looks like he was almost out of bullets
