Man Who Called Alhambra High School Claiming To Be On Campus And Threatening To Shoot Students Was Actually In Germany

Public Safety Update from Martinez Police Department:

10/15/2024 – At about 2:50 this afternoon, Martinez Police officers received report through a crisis line that there was a subject in the bathroom of Alhambra High School who stated he was armed with a rifle and threatening to shoot students. The school was placed on lockdown.

The first officer arrived on scene when the suspect said he shot two students. There were no independent reports of a shooting from the school and officers did not hear gunfire.

Martinez police officers in cooperation with members of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office searched the school and found no evidence of a shooting.

The source of the threat was traced to Germany. An investigation is on-going to identify the suspect.
