The following is from the Pleasant Hill Police Department:

Case update – Suspect Arrested

Toure A. Pierre Jr of Oakland CA, was identified and arrested for his involvement in two separate robberies. These incidents happened at the DSW shoe store and Total Wine & More in Pleasant Hill. The investigation was brought to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office and felony charges were filed against Pierre Jr; including two counts of second-degree robbery and criminal threats. Pierre Jr’s bail was set at $250,000.

I saw this same guy rob Foodmax with a cart full of beer and detergent.and the employees just stood there and let him

Most large stores and grocers, such as Foodmaxx, have a policy which forbids employees from stopping shoplifters, unless they’ve been expressly authorized by the company. Employees who violate the “apprehension of shoplifters and/or retrieval of shoplifted goods” policy are almost always fired.

Well, the public heat is on our District Attorney to start being tough, but. I still think she will find a way to turn him loose by the weekend.
She doesn’t like prosecuting people that are black or brown because she feels they are disadvantaged and are allowed to steal to gain equity.
