MCE Seeking Feedback Through Surveys And Focus Groups

by CLAYCORD.com

As part of MCE’s outreach for Charged by Public Power, MCE is gathering survey feedback from community members and hosting a series of focus groups in MCE’s service area to help determine clean transportation needs in priority communities, including Concord.

The Survey is available in English, Spanish and Chinese, and is open now until September 30. Participants will have a chance to receive a $20 gift card.

By providing your input through the survey or participating in a focus group, you’re helping to promote the following benefits in our local communities:

  • Cost Savings – Clean mobility solutions are often more affordable alternatives to owning and operating a gas-powered vehicle.
  • Improved Accessibility – Better access to essential services, education, and employment opportunities through improved transportation.
  • Healthier Environment – Reduced greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and reliance on fossil fuels.
  • Social Connectivity – Encourage interaction and connectivity throughout your community.
  • Equity and Inclusivity – Ensure that transportation services are available to all residents.

The focus group’s locations and times will be determined soon. Interested individuals can fill out the Focus Group Interest form to be considered for the upcoming focus groups.

What a bunch of BS.
The only goal is to charge more for power.
The secondary goal is to screw the public out of more money.

When Concord (and maybe more) residents were “slammed” into MCE electric rates, it ended up costing me more for power, plus new fees, than the original PGE, and just kept getting more and more expensive. I gave it a year… switched back to PGE. If someone can explain EXACTLY how buying our electricity VIA political deals with Marin County Energy helps Contra Costa County residents … I’ll listen. Leave out the BS about saving the planet.

They want to smooge with the public to try and quell concerns and complaints about why they’re raising rates again
