It’s a great idea. It should have been started years ago to keep a cleaner downtown. Now, if the city workers can move a little quicker then they usually do, they could even get more …

It’s nice to have clean sidewalks but I would think this is just normal maintenance. Now if the city would replace the dangerous sidewalks rather than putting the responsibility on the homeowner…. That would be news. They took the sidewalk land areas by eminent domain from the property owners, laid the sidewalk and planted trees. Now the tree roots are pushing up the sidewalks creating a hazard. My neighbor paid 20k to have 50ft of sidewalk replaced, and doesn’t even own it, as it’s an easement. The city will provide 50% of the repair cost, up to $500 if funds are available.
