If you haven’t noticed, the Dollar Tree is now selling products for more than $1.25.

The change comes just a few weeks after the Dollar Tree purchased the $.99 Store, who previously sold products for up to $20.

QUESTION: Do you like this change?

I blame those 81 million voters . . . . .

Biden does not control Dollar Tree prices.

Biden intentionally created the runaway inflation that caused Dollar Tree prices to rise.

Actually there are a lot of smaller quantity items that regular stores don’t want to stock because shelf space is precious. There are also promo items to see if the product will be worth putting into regular stores (at twice the price). The local store doesn’t have those shelves yet because those items as well as others are still in boxes stacked in the aisles. That’s probably due to the higher minimum wage that the morons, who don’t understand economics, put in place. Enjoy the ride to the bottom.

Rename to dollars tree store

I don’t shop at the Dollar Tree, but our youngest son does and he said some of the food prices have been $3-$5 dollars for a couple of years now. The change came prior to purchasing the 99 Cent store. It happened during the pandemic when everyone else was raising their prices.

It wasn’t Covid 19 that raised prices. When Biden signed the stack of Presidential
Orders,he made sure that reasonable fuel prices were a thing of the past. You don’t
need a degree in economics to understand that raising the price of a barrel of oil
will raise the price of everything that is made/transported by fossil fuels. That plus
the Federal Gov’t is printing money to cover all the give-a-ways. Inflation with a
capital I !

They’ve been selling gift cards for months.

BIdenomics, see prices didn’t go up that fast, but wait what do we call it now that Joe has stepped aside?

All good things must come to an end, and that includes discount stores. Woolworths was the first five and dime, everything was five or ten cents, then one day in the 1930s, they decided to discontinue selling price fixed merchandise, and increased their prices.

I notice that nobody’s complaining about the price at Motel 6. How long has it been since it cost $6 a night? Things go up. But why? Ask the Beast from Jekyll Island.

yes, and it was after the .99 cent store started selling items that were not 99 to 1.25 anymore that they when out of business??

The Dollar Tree and 99 cent only (when they were still in business) always had items they charged more for, but they were still a good deal. It’s been a couple of years since Dollar Tree raised their prices by 25 cents. As for cheap crap, not really, tissue the same as CVS or Target, but half the price. They sell Ajax, Comet, Colgate and Crest toothpaste. The gift bags and similar is a great deal, that is stuff that don’t last long anyway no matter how much you pay for them.
