Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s hospitals are rated among the best in the nation for treating heart attacks, strokes, and other medical conditions, according to a new report.
Kaiser Permanente Northern California hospitals are recognized as “high-performing” in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 Best Hospitals annual report in part due to the evidence-based treatments and comprehensive care and support provided to patients.
Nearly 5,000 hospitals participated in the study, which analyzes hospital performance for 15 specialty care areas and 20 procedures and conditions. The “high performing” designation — defined as top 10% to 20% in the United States – honors those hospitals that consistently deliver high-quality care when treating complex medical conditions.

According to the U.S. News & World Report’s ratings, 18 Kaiser Permanente Northern California hospitals are recognized as “high performing” for the treatment of either congestive heart failure or heart attacks.

I’m actually annoyed at all the people that pull in to the garage and go one mile an hour on the first and second level waiting for someone to pull out while they block all the rest of us. If you just zip up to the upper levels and take the elevator down you’re just as well off.
And BTW: I love Kaiser! They’ve saved my life twice now!
Seriously?? As a paramedic in Contra Costa County, the stuff that I saw go on, there was literally unforgivable. I wouldn’t trust them with a guinea pig.
A coworker had severe abdominal pain, but her doctor suggested it was indigestion and gas and sent her home. A few days later sge returned with significant bleeding and they found an ectopic pregnancy. The subsequent surgeries left her infertile and ended her marriage. Kaiser is the worst.
I wouldn’t take my Dog to them. A bunch of Crooks and incompetents!
Just the other day a death was reported in their Vallejo ER because the man was ignored for too many hours.
Never again will I be a patient of kaiser! What a nightmare!!!!
It’s the US version of socialized medicine. You’re locked into their system. The bottom line drives many decisions.
What they do is hand a voter registtration card to everyone that visits no matter their status,and then they mail you one.There uusing the health care system to pollute the voter rolls and they know it.If you look at hopspital staff,a very low percentage are actually caucasian or American.Hospitals are as leftist as you can get in the guise of helping people.

The night time workers at Kaiser in WC would come into Kaiser shell and buy up all the glass air freshener tubes and make crap pipes out of them in the bathroom them smoke in there,and then leave behind all the leftover evidence,box from torch they stole at Target,contents of glass tube after they dumped out the flower inside.To find sober or moral people at a Kaiser hospital is almost impossible.These people do not live in WC.Most of the employees live at the other end of the Caldecott tunnel and take Bart or Uber to work.
I’ve got to give a thumbs up to kaiser! Especially Walnut Creek. Years ago, when my employer switched us to Kaiser we were all complaining because of all the horror stories we had heard. But in the last 20 years I’ve received the most excellent, and caring care at Kaiser. As I stated before, They’ve saved my life! Twice! And now I’m on their Senior Advantage and that has been fantastic! That’s been five star rated for many years now too.
I’ve had Kaiser for over 40 years. Kaiser has been on the cutting edge of technology for years, while other hospitals were still keep their records on paper Kaiser had computer
every where. Other in my family have John Muir health and their not even as good as Kaiser. I can go in for lab work or x Ray’s and have the results before a get home.
Other systems take day to get results.
The thing you need to know about Kaiser is if you need something you need to ask for it.
I had laparoscopic surgery some weeks ago at Antioch Deer Valley. They have this down to a scary degree, almost like seeing a sleight-of-hand trick at a magic show. Tests were easy to schedule, painless, and, as promised, no memory of the surgery at all. No arduous recovery, incisions healed practically immediately, my prescribed pain meds were largely unused. Video followup, no unanswered questions. They really deserve credit for getting it all right!
In Sacramento, my son tore what we believe is his ACL on July 9. He called Kaiser that evening. They said they would call back. No call back. He called the next day, they said they would have someone call back. Again no call back. He called again and they set a phone appt. for that evening. Kaiser failed to call So he went to urgent care. Urgent care took x-rays, which won’t show tissue tears, and they scheduled an appointment with a sports med physician in another week. That doctor put on a brace and then scheduled an MRI which won’t happen for another week. 4 weeks, to be seen so that he can be treated. I call that Kaiser Health no-care.
