Just a reminder, Lime Ridge Open Space is closed due to fire danger. That doesn’t mean you can park on the street and walk/bike in. The gate and sign blocking the parking lot entrances isn’t a suggestion.

Closing public parks on the day we celebrate our independence from tyranny…oh the irony.
Closing a park for safety reasons isn’t tyrannical. It is prudent.
My wife and I hiked up Lime ridge to watch the fireworks in 2020 and had to flee down a steep embankment when some idiots behind us started a fire. It’s closed for a reason.
Just wondering. How many can’t translate “closed” to “do not enter”?

Ah, shucks! They just wanted to get up high where they could see all the fireworks…maybe lob a few cherry-bombs of their own into the neighborhoods below… wake up a few folks at the nursing homes down there… you know… celebrate their country!

Well it appears it’s open no matter what the signs say. Typical usual number of hikers and bikers today.
I dunno it’s open space, no charge to use it so how can they just close it, well looks like they can’t.
