It’s been well over 2 years since construction started on the Dutch Bros, building on Clayton road in Concord. This week, the sign was installed. There’s still no word on when they plan to open.
We watched off and on from start of project to current. We’ve never seen such amateur circus acts doing all the work. I’m surprised the whole thing hasn’t fallen down yet.
I’d say Seeno is involved with building this.

Patience…….. it’s only been 2 years or so.
Let’s give ’em a chance.
They probably keep real busy working all day making coffee & coffee drinks at the other shops that are already open & then have to go to the Concord shop and put in a few hours installing equipment, painting walls, etc.
They’re men, caffeinated men…. not machines!
Concord Donut – have you never driven past a Dutch Bros place when it’s open?
The lines are long….real long.
All I drink is black coffee, I’ve never even been to a DB but I’m pretty sure they aren’t going out of business!

It’s more like 4 years. Notices were sent to residents about the opening on October 2020. It’s the slowest moving project I’ve ever seen

Probably a construction problem the one on alhambra in Mtz.has been open since last yr.& went up fast, city of Concord delays everything, permits, etc.
We too… we’re making our own coffee at home now. We can make a week’s worth at home for what one Starbucks cost. Ya need to save, during these biden-economic times.
Yeah, Biden’s busy setting prices at coffee shops now.
Be realistic prices started going up after covid when companies realized that people have no choice but to pay the price and they set their prices accordingly to corporation greed.
Why is it that every time I hear that name or see that sign I think of it being a paint store?
I don’t equate the name with coffee- have not experience them before.
I heard the reason for the delay is there was a lawsuit or something filed by the preschool/daycare that is going in the building at the rear of the property because they were not informed that a drive-thru coffee shop was going in in the front spot. Obviously morning coffee rush plus daycare drop off will be a nightmare.
A lawsuit?
I wonder why that is such a secret?
Well Moneybadger, I guess you are our new investigative reporter!
Keep up the good work.

I was beginning to think they ran out of money. I still say this is going to create un-needed congestion right there. I’m not sure what they were thinking.

Dutch Bros. has hundreds of drinks, and they all can be made SUGAR FREE.
Starbucks doesn’t offer sugar free coffee drinks.
Unfortunately they only have select sugar free syrup options so not all of their drinks can be made sugar-free.

From what I was told by a Dutch Bro’s employee the reason why Concord is taking so long it’s because the landowner is fronting the bill and they are in charge of when things get done as opposed to the one of Martinez the lot is owned by Dutch Bros in Dutch Bros was in charge of the construction.
Open by end of year?
I predict at least one more minimum wage hike before it opens.

I find this all very amusing, since I make my own coffee every day.
From the looks of the drink menu it doesnt look like a place id visit.
I bet the go out of business in a few years.
