This beautiful egret was enjoying the Claycord sunshine on a fence near Galindo Creek off Cape Cod Way in Concord this afternoon.
Actually, it was probably searching for his/her next meal.

When going on walks in the waterfront park in Martinez the bird watchers would revel at the rare site of an egret. I would muse that they aren’t so rare during weekdays but not sure of what these humans with scopes and things are up to so would seem to hide on weekends.😄
