The 2024 Northern California Circumcision Crisis Protests are coming to the Pleasant Hill/Concord area.
Protesters will be out Wednesday May 8 on the corner of Contra Costa Blvd. and Concord Ave. from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
They’ll be protesting against male circumcision.
QUESTION: Are you fore or against circumcision?

Some people do more than others like protecting babies from psychos.with knives. We all can’t live fulfilling productive worthwhile lives but we do.
And yet some wouldn’t lift a finger to save a child from genital mutilation. Sound like someone you know? 🤔
Not my crusade, but they’re not wrong. I encourage their public protests because it challenges people to think about the issue. I mean, it really is super weird that people still do this.
Every time I have friends expecting a boy I ask what their intention is with regard to circumcision, and while they do give it considerable thought, they usually wind up proceeding with the unnecessary procedure. Almost always, it’s driven by the mother’s desire, which is extra weird to me.

What’s extra weird is asking expecting parents such a personal question about what their intention is regarding circumcision.
The health and well-being of loved ones, their kids, and their pets isn’t really taboo conversation for me and my friends. I’m sure that is weird to some folks.
Seeing as most of my friends aren’t religious, and none of them typically believe in pseudoscience, I’m curious as to how thoughtful people can arrive at a decision to proceed with an unneeded medical procedure on a newborn. I didn’t have boys, so I didn’t run into this. I don’t try to to dissuade them – again, not my crusade – I just inquire as to the motivation because I personally don’t see any sound reason to. The only answer I’ve heard heard rooted in sound logic is “It’s just easier to keep clean,” implying that they as parents would prefer not to take any “extra” santiatary steps when changing a diapers or bathing.
What’s extra weird is doctors pressuring parents to give them access to their child’s genitals, so they can apply clamps and knives while tha child steams in agony, and suffers for life, just so the doctor can make the payment on his BMW.
WOW they will protest anything these days, who cares…

This is the most important, by far. It affects and drives all the others. Child r4pe is lifetime trauma, leading to violence, war, drug abuse, homelessness, divorce, and self deletion.

There was an effort to ban circumcisions in San Francisco about 20 year ago, while at the same time the CDC was advocating for mandatory circumcisions. Circumcision rates in the US have fallen over the last 30-35 years, mainly due to Governors no longer allowing Medicaid funds to be used to pay for circumcisions.
Circumcision is the personal choice of any parent. It should be a private choice and every parent should have the right to choose. I will say that it is proven to be hygienically cleaner though.
