“Off The Grid” Kicks Off 2024 Season April 3 In Pleasant Hill

Wednesday nights are about to get a little more exciting (and tasty) as Off the Grid returns with some of the Bay Area’s favorite food trucks.

Beginning April 3, 2024, and every Wednesday night until October from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the City Hall lawn will be transformed into a space with food trucks and live music. A special event happening this year is that Off the Grid will partner with the City’s Diversity Commission for this year’s Juneteenth celebration. The event will occur during Off the Grid at City Hall on June 19, 2024.

Pleasant Hill residents and families can enjoy a variety of foods by bringing a blanket and eating picnic-style on the City Hall lawn, enjoying the food on the provided chairs and tables, or taking food to grab and go.

They seem to be a little inclusive… https://www.diversityresources.com/diversity-calendar-2024/ Other DEI holidays landing on Wed.

June 12 – Loving Day

This day honors the anniversary of the court decision Loving V. Virginia that legalizes interracial marriage and struck down anti-miscegenation laws in 16 states at the time.

September 4 – Richard Wright’s Birthday –
The popular Black American writer wrote some of the most powerful 20th-century novels which exposed the realities of racism in the Deep South where he was born in 1908.

September 11 – Patriot Day
On the morning of September 11, 2001, the worst terrorist attack in American history occurred when four commercial airliners were hijacked by al-Qaeda members. Two crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and another into a field in Pennsylvania.

October 9 – Indigenous People’s Day

This day coincides with Columbus Day and honors the indigenous people living in the United States and the violence they have suffered in history.

Really disappointed in the DEI effort here….

Why does it make you mad? Honest question because I don’t understand where that comes from. I mean were you going to go down there to eat but found this out and now you’re not? Or is this just dog whistling because you’re been conditioned? No shame, a lot of that going around nowadays.

are these trucks inspected by the health dept like a resturant,or do they let them slide because of “inclusiveness”(no white people)

There are no benefits to diversity its all communication problems and confusion and difference of opinions that often times leads to violence and they say its whiteys fault everytime.
If diversity is so great why is is forced up society in so many ways?
