I felt a thump and heard a quick crunch/rattle. There was little to no swaying and so I knew it was small and close by. I’m wondering if people at Ygnacio Valley High felt it as it was centered in their ball fields on the south edge of the campus. Can you feel an earthquake that is directly under you? I was about three miles west.

I didn’t feel it but the dog did.
If we can make laws and spend money to end climate change, we should be able to pass laws, spend money, and end earthquakes.

I felt it seven floors up in my office in Walnut Creek. Brief shake but enough for the blinds to hit the windows a couple of times.

Quakes on the mid 2s are usually too small to feel unless they are very close and you are still and quiet. Most quakes that are fairly widely felt are 3 and higher.

No. Too far away. But good luck on ending earthquakes. If you want to see something horrific look up the news on the current polar shift and what it could possibly lead to. 😲

I was talking on the phone with my wife when it hit. For me (near the PH Bart station) it was a slight jolt. For the wife (in Clayton) it was the same. Nothing major but the first time I was talking on the phone where we both felt it.

No, I did not feel it & am glad I didn’t!
I was still reeling in terror from the 1.5 earthquake that struck near Holland Tract at 7:43 PM Thursday.

I live in north Concord and didn’t feel it, but I may have been asleep at the time. I was trying to watch something on YouTube but kept dozing in and out.
