Pleasant Hill residents are invited to come to City Hall on Saturday, March 23, 2024, as the Pleasant Hill City Council will meet in special session to examine and discuss goals for the City. The meeting will be held in the large community room at City Hall, 100 Gregory Lane, and will get underway at 10:00 a.m.

During the meeting, the Council will examine the 2022-23 and 2023-24 goals set for the City, receive updates from City staff on the status of those goals, and consider any additional goals to set for the next two years. Goal setting is completed every two years as part of the City’s biennial budget process.

The five goals that the City Council set in March 2022 were to have a City that:

  • Is Safe
  • Is Financially Sound
  • Is Attractive, Well-Planned and Well-Maintained
  • Provides a High Quality of Life and a Small-town Atmosphere for its residents
  • Provides Efficient and Effective Public Services

The public is welcome to provide their thoughts on what the council’s goals for the next two years should be. The agenda will be available to view by March 20, 2024, at www.pleasanthillca.org/agendas.

Advice to PH… don’t touch rent control. The state already has that issue addressed. Don’t be like Concord.

What exactly does “Provides a High Quality of Life and a Small-town Atmosphere for its residents” mean? It seems thrown in just so they could have another bullet point!
Just do #5 “Provides Efficient and Effective Public Services” and the rest will take care of itself.

Anybody else notice the new stop signs popping up all over town? Two new ones over by Pleasant Hill Elementary.
Traffic backs up all around the school now.
People are running right through them as well- be careful out there!

Currently 0/5.

Keep up the good work, guys!!!!
