Here’s the aftermath of a weekend sideshow at the Crossroads Shopping Center on the Pleasant Hill/Concord border.

There were reports of gunshots at this sideshow, but police have yet to find evidence of any injuries or damage.

Their actions should have consequences.

Will they this time?

The parking lot cleaners too!

Nope. These lawbreakers scout for vehicles like theirs. So when they need new tires, they simply jack someone else’s car tires in the wee small hours of the morning.

But…..but…. they are just having fun with the STOLEN CARS.
Throw them in JAIL! Oh yea, we don’t do that anymore. It might be RACIST or something.

You be bet these cars came in from Oakland/Antioch.

They are scared to arrest these people, they might look like they care if they do.
Cant have that.Oakland takes thier cars,Concord .Pleasant Hill lets you raid thier stores.
Come on over,its all free..Weeeee!!!!

Don’t kid yourself. Concord and Walnut Creek breed plenty of miscreant hoodlums. They just move to Antioch when they make out of wedlock babies,

Best to clean up the broken glass outside your own window before throwing rocks over the hill.

Hopefully the cameras are working and police can zoom in on the license plate, make arrests and impound the cars. Impounding the cars and arrests need to start happening. Make these dumb punks pay for the damage also.

IT IS WAY PAST TIME FOR ACTION!! Why do these people (I use ‘that’ term as ‘inclusive’ for all participants), feel so safe that continuing this behavior is ‘A NO-BRAINER’ for them!!??

makes our shopping centers look so ghetto and trashy

News flash, it makes our shopping centers be ghetto and trashy. Maybe we pay a lot of money to live in a trashy ghetto. Maybe our local government should hear about it to the point they do something different. That is how this supposedly works.

Just paint a “slogan” over it and then all of a sudden it’s approved and not considered damage.

impound the vehicles for 30 days and then put them in the crusher

26

Cameras are in the area. Let us have the license plates and car models. The residents of this county can take care of the rest.

Funny how many of the comments on the PD social media pages that the car meet people were “just hanging out.”

I don’t even feel comfortable leaving my car in that lot to shop anymore. There are a lot of sketchy people hanging out. We need to impose BIG fines and minimum 30 day impound w/ fees for sideshows. 1rst offense should also count as a point on your drivers license and that will raise their insurance. The more offenses the steeper the fines will be including suspended license/ jail time.

Kids have been doing this sort of thing for decades. The Broadway Mall parking lot in Walnut Creek was popular in the 1950s.

lol different time and people with different temperance’s. Were they popping off pistols then? Doubt it, stop covering for scum. Cities should have a track for the youth to race and have fun with cars to avoid this stuff. The closest track is kinda far.

10

Nah, we packed long guns when we’d commute from Concord into Walnut Creek looking for trouble.

Actually they would race on YVR & it is no comparison. The racing was dangerous enough but doing this in a parking lot is stupid & should carry the consequence of loss of vehicle & license minimally

I do not remember our generation destroying property like that. 70’s

If you remember it you probably weren’t there.

Only us “cool kids” played stupid games for stupid prizes back then!

The cars are most likely stolen. The plates are likely stolen too. The drivers don’t have insurance or drivers licenses. These people have nothing to loose. Our DA will let them go anyway.

Make the lots and streets side show proof by butting some kind of spikes so that if you try to do donuts your tires will get flat

How sloppy….
I can spell my name (in cursive) with my rear tires.

𝓓𝓻𝓙𝓮𝓵𝓵𝔂𝓯𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻=============== just like that !

Punks, thugs, and criminals. Catch ’em and suspend their licenses for five years!

Oh come on you old pharts. That’s not from a sideshow, that’s a typical Friday night in 1980 for me and for half of you I bet.
Here let me go get your fainting couches. 😝

@ATTICUS THRAXX….late 60s/70s in the “new” Gemco parking lot in WC. Difference being the cars weren’t stolen and real rubber bias ply tires…..good times!

Dam! missed it…
