New Ballot Box Installed At Concord City Hall

A new ballot drop box has been installed at Concord City Hall, 1950 Parkside Drive.

This larger box replaces the former box and is now available for you to drop off your ballot for the March 5 primary.

Ballots were mailed out earlier this month to all registered voters. Any Contra Costa voter can drop their ballot (no postage necessary) in any of these drop boxes, which are located throughout the County.

The other Concord drop box is located at Monument Crisis Center, 1990 Market St.

Excellent! Access to voting is the cornerstone of our democracy.

Excellent! So many deceased voters have convenient access from the great beyond. Curious how only deceased democrats are able to cast their votes. Perhaps those ballot boxes are located down south, way down south………

I heard it has a shredder inside…

Yeah! It x-rays your ballot as you slip it in there, and if it sees you voted conservative, it shreds it immediately. That’s why they needed a much bigger one this year as the shredded ballots to go to the left side and the other ones go to the right. 😂🤪

How convenient… Sarcasm

Just a reminder, a Dominion voting machine was hacked using only a pen in an Atlanta courtroom demonstration recently.

There are also a new postal mail blue box plus a new ballot box in the parking lot for the new Pleasant Hill library. They are on the northern edge of the parking lot, furthest from the library.

Pleasant Hill’s Pleasant Oaks Park is popular for junior baseball, softball, and soccer. There is a ballot box at the Department of Education building on Santa Barbara Road on the southern edge of the park.

I am wondering if the availability of Pleasant Hill’s four ballot boxes will influence votes in favor of how Pleasant Hill residents think, as opposed to Concord or Walnut Creek for example, which each have two ballot boxes.

The list of ballot box locations is at https://www.contracostavote.gov/elections/official-ballot-drop-boxes/

You can mail them in nowadays… ballot box locations shouldn’t influence anything.

WC RESIDENT,
.
What does “I am wondering if the availability of Pleasant Hill’s four ballot boxe will influence votes in favor of how Pleasant Hill residents think” even mean and how would you ever know? It also should have absolutely nothing to do with “how Pleasant Hill residents think,” it should only matter what Pleasant Hill VOTERS think.
.
I’d like to know if all of these “ballot drop boxes” are under 24-hour video surveillance, which can then be obtained by residents under CPRA, which is California’s version of FOIA?

When my mail-in ballot arrived, I chucked it into the garbage.

I believe voting doesn’t matter anymore.

It hasn’t mattered for a couple of decades.

I use mine to get a charcoal starter going for a BBQ. Feels good to get something useful in the mail from the government. Politics is owned by the rich and powerful. Take the money out of it and I will be interested.

Charcoal starter – what a great idea!
I’ll be casting my vote at a polling place like it was always intended.

Why isn’t election day, election weekend, Paper ballots, & Photo ID???

Is it big enough to hold 2000 phony ballots being dumped into it at 4 AM on election day?

Many of the ballot boxes were placed along the border by the Democrats to get the illegals vote as they come into the country.

They should dump the pieces of all the Desaulnier signs around town that have been torn into little pieces (what a shame)
