The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.
The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday in the noon hour.
QUESTION: As most of you know, Valentine’s Day is tomorrow. Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Why or why not?
Talk about it.
…. have to… otherwise I’ll be in deep doo doo 🙂
Every Day
This year celebrated early, went metallic . . . . .
New dishwasher and clothes washer.
At my age she keeps me around to pay bills, buy groceries and eat leftovers.
So these leftovers you speak of…how tasty? Cause I’m good for a major appliance every fiscal quarter for the right meals. I mean if she’s shopping around for any reason. 😇
Said she’d think about it.
This morning made extra large pan of hash browns
Tonight, meat loaf and huge pot of mashed potatoes.
Breakfasts and dinners for couple days while she’s at our other house babysitting Great Grand babies.
No, it is just another scam for the peoples’ wallet.
That is the way my daugther and son in law feels. However, they do let my grandchildren (7 and almost 4 years old) celebrate. They live in the Pasadena area so I will send them a funny ecard.
‘Warm Kitty’ you say… 🧐
Eat more dark chocolate because it is more available at Valentines and Christmas. The candy companies apparently think that kids don’t like dark chocolate just milk chocolate. Otherwise I don’t celebrate it, bah humbug! 🤣
I try not to, but my wife has other intentions. We’re married, every day is Valentine’s Day, isn’t it?
I believe it is a Hallmark Holiday designed to fleece people of money……. but I love my wife and she always deserves flowers so I am all in.
.
Every day. We don’t need an “official day”.
.
Cupid hunting season . I bought my tags, got ammo and candy as bait. Bet I get my limit. 💘
Played nine holes with my lovely wife (her first time on a real course) … I shot 33 (w/ 2 birdies) … she shot 54 (w/ a par) … putting got her. Tonight it’s Tawainese sake bar/izakaya & Filipino karaoke until late. Flowers & futon judo will be involved!
I let him off the hook 37 years ago. We trade niceties, hugs and stuff. At our age we are grateful to have each other. I grow my own flowers and plan a nice meal, wine. Tonight I have gnocchi which I will brown, I hope it turns out. Roasted tomatoes, Onion, garlic, maybe a touch of basil and oregano. Salad. He is on husband duty year round so I like to cook and bake for him.
Always. Big fan.
I hear folks say we shouldn’t need a special day for it but we shouldn’t need a special day to celebrate mothers, fathers and veterans but all of those folks sure seem to appreciate it.
