There was a tree down blocking three lanes by the airport an hour ago in Concord maintenance crew has it completely cleared already. I’m sure they’re busy but they’re kicking butt tonight.

Pole location appears to be west side of Ygnacio Valley Rd. at Homestead Ave.
Looking at pole on streetview, wondering how many anchor bolt holes had been drilled into it down around area of phone, cable TV and fiber-optic lines. Moving view to base of pole and angling it up you get a real good view of amount of physical load hanging off that pole and forces pulling on it from power distribution conductors. Counted six guy wires trying to compensate pull forces.
Would be interested to see how clean break was at failure point.
An were trees near pole and lines overdue for trimming?

I’m glad I have an old-school gasoline-powered car! ( there’s going to be a lot of electric cars out there that won’t be charged up by morning time to make it to work)

Anyone have any updates?

Power is back on

so many businesses closed in Ygnacio Plaza due to this….. I know they are very upset losing business . Customers not happy either. This should be a priority and PG@E updates given. In person it looks way worse and far more dangerous than the photo someone sent. in. Fire Dept should be on high alert there.

Last I heard only a few houses on Homestead are still out.
