The following information is from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office:

In the past few months, several homes in Central Contra Costa County were burglarized resulting in losses in excess of $300,000 of property that included jewelry, purses, and weapons.

Detectives from the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff investigating the burglaries identified a suspect. They obtained an arrest warrant for him, and search warrants for his residence and vehicles associated with the burglaries. Other law enforcement agencies in the Bay Area are also determining if the same suspect is connected to burglaries in their jurisdictions.

On January 25, 2024, as part of the continuing investigation, detectives found the suspect driving north on I-5 near Corning, California. They requested the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office to attempt a traffic stop on the vehicle, which did not yield and led them on a pursuit.

The California Highway Patrol assisted during the pursuit. The vehicle eventually crashed, and the suspect fled on foot. He was subsequently located and arrested.

The suspect is identified as 26-year-old Gilberto Ramirez of Merced, CA. He is currently being held in Merced County jail on charges that include burglary of habitation, felony evasion, and weapons violations. A juvenile who was in the vehicle was also taken into custody. She
is not being identified.

Search warrants were served at various locations where property believed to be taken from the Contra Costa County burglaries was found.

Detectives are identifying the property and working to return it to their rightful owners. The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff would like to thank the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office and CHP for their assistance in apprehending the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information on this case is asked to contact the Investigation Division at (925) 313-2600. For any tips, email: tips@so.cccounty.us or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.

I wonder if he is one of our fine “immigrants” just looking for a better life?

Probably a home grown felon.

Because if he were an “immigrant,” he’d likely have been deported after this (and previous) arrest(s): https://www.yourcentralvalley.com/news/crime/merced-police-chase-leads-to-arrest-and-treasure-trove-of-weapons/

Doubtful. We are a sanctuary state, and they are protected at all cost.

I’m wondering if he picked on properties here in Contra Costa County knowing that the District Attorney’s office and judges here would probably let him a break and let him loose right away. I don’t think they’re this lenient in Merced ….he’ll probably go to jail there.

His charges are CCC,he will get sent to the CCC jail and released
And will flee and do more crime of course.

Immigration status?

Americans should be provided this datum to know the effect of current Federal and State policy of ignoring immigrations laws.

First time shooter days at the United Sportsmen’s Concord Range are a great place to start. You’d start off with a couple of hours of basic handgun training classroom instruction then out to the range where you can experience a variety of different bang, bangs in a safe environment. The cost is minimal at around $50.00 which includes, pew pews, ammo, lunch, and a local personal coach for the day.
Both Diablo Rod & Gun and Concord Sportsmen’s Clubs offer these programs.

Let me know if you are interested and I’ll get you more information.

I just wrote a very respectful reply to Bob’s post but it just disappeared after I hit submit. I’m guessing I either somehow broke the rules or there was some kind of glitch. Does anyone have any tips on what not to do when replying or posting?

Someone needs to teach him some manners. I wonder who can help with that?

Bubba. King of the cell block.

I am so rightfully armed and use technology to protect my home, if you do not you WILL be
a victim sooner or later, WAKE UP PEOPLE!! same thing on the freeways…..
