I’ve often thought as I drove by, “ that looks like a place you could get robbed.” I didn’t stop, bedbugs or robbery, not both.

Cheers to Concord Police and K-9 doggie! This armed robbery could have gone wrong very quickly into a first-degree murder. Perps are very lucky that it didn’t go wrong big time.
Thank you LEOs and K-9 for protecting us!

Only the beginning as Chicago says.

That’s awesome work Concord PD. The best police department in the county. Kudos and thank you.

Gotta love police dogs.

Hope he got his ars bit.

Well… that’ll learn him.

Isn’t that the best western where someone died in their room a number of years back?

I hope that the K9 bite hurt.

Good Doggie!

Some additional info on the apprehension:

“The Concord Police Department arrested a armed robbery suspect who robbed a female at gunpoint Wednesday evening in the City of Concord.

According to police, a woman was robbed at gunpoint inside a motel on the 4600 block of Clayton Rd. A suspect description and suspect car description was provided.

Patrol officers spotted the car and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect fled and evaded officers.

A short time later, residents on Walters Way called and reported a solo car collision into a wall, with a man running away from the car. It turned out to be our suspect from the robbery. Officers set up a perimeter around the area and with the assistance of a police K9, he was found hiding in a garbage enclosure.

The suspect will be booked into county jail. Both the victim and suspect were from out of the area. Police thanked residents on Walters Way and Lodge Drive for their support and assistance.

No other information was released on the robbery and the suspect was not identified by Concord Police.”

Hope the dog chewed on him a while. Go Fur Missile Go!!!!

I have family that has stayed at this motel several times over the years when they visit. The place has really gone downhill. There are usually groups of people staying in one room, frequently with off-leash pitbulls, it looks like many people staying there are just using it as a drug den. Last couple times they stayed there they were woken up by screaming fights. I have asked them not to stay there and to stay in Walnut Creek. It would be nice if Concord PD / City of Concord could perhaps work with management/owners to work harder to make sure they are not operating a drug/crime motel. Because the Days Inn near YVR/Clayton Rd is notoriously disgusting, this leaves 94521 with not a single decent motel/hotel. City of Concord losing dollars to Walnut Creek over this-just like Sun Valley Mall

Armed robbery is a very serious crime with enhancements. Hope the courts treat it a such.

Is refusing to pay a hooker the same as robbery?
