The following is from the Concord Police Department:

FELONY VEHICLE – STOLEN GUN

Responding to a felony vehicle alert, a graveyard officer located the suspect’s vehicle near our downtown area. Following a high-risk stop, the driver was taken into custody.

But the story doesn’t end there.

During the arrest, officers uncovered a stolen, loaded firearm with extended magazines. This quick and decisive action undoubtedly prevented a potential threat to our community.

Claycord Note: Concord Police did not release the suspect’s name.

Looking forward to the perp’s name and mug shot.

Don’t hold your breath!

13

Why? The perp is in custody.

What public value does a mugshot confer?

If he is somebody’s neighbor, they should be made aware of it.

Concord Police are the best.

I bet the owner of the Honda will be glad to get it back and in decent condition too.

Would need to get the interior steam cleaned, disinfected and…oh what the heck, just leave it where Concord PD found it and let insurance total it out. Get a new car. You have NO IDEA what lurks inside. You won’t know if you need penicillin or Narcan.

BUT! If CPD left those extendo’s it may have some redeeming qualities.

I had my car broken into and a lot of things were stolen.

I ended up selling the car.

I felt violated.

I would love to know the criminal history of the suspect and the final disposition of this particular case, but it would probably just increase my blood pressure. Thanks Diana

What was the felony vehicle alert? Was the vehicle stolen?

Nice pickup CPD! Not a fan of pocket Glocks myself. Too flippy. Though that drum mag would probably help. Idiots. 😝

When are you liberals out there going to wake up and realize that some people do truly belong in jail? I’m so fed up with your compassion for the criminal and not the rest of us. And yes it is you liberal Democrats!

I didn’t read one liberal comment suggesting the PD let this guy go, or that the justice system should not prosecute. Are you hearing voices? They have meds for that.

Real Republican since 1972

Badge is correct. Rehabilitation infers a person has been habilitated , and returned to being civilized, doubtful in most cases. The solution is to remove them from society. Keep them away from us.

Meanwhile The state enacted an 11% tax on hunting and other ammunition to help pay for tattoo removal .

If you own a gun know the democrats hate you .

Next, DA’ plea bargaining down to save cost of a trial.
After all isn’t it all about ‘equity’ and keeping criminals on our streets . . . . .
.
If there is no threat of incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior

That is a nice customized frame and aftermarket trigger on the Glock. I hope the owner gets it back and it doesn’t “disappear” in evidence.

Free state mags are always in fashion.

California gun laws are really working well I see.

The headline says “STOLEN GUN”

.
What is a “felony vehicle”? What was the original crime that triggered a “felony vehicle” alert?
.
The term must be law enforcement jargon.
.

“felony vehicle alert”
From license plate reader cameras ? ? ?
Concord has gone in big time on plate readers, rumor was $789,000

This is what they look like, see how many you can spot . . . .
Toward Concord on Cowell from Ygnacio Valley Rd.
Concord inbound on Clayton Rd just west of Ygnacio Valley Rd.

This is why more prisons are needed. NOW.

Oh look, actual “high capacity” magazines, not the standard capacity magazines that the lame stream media and Spazzin Nuisance (CA GOV-D) are always trying to scare us with. That law is working SO well *eyeroll*
