Pho Sam restaurant, located on San Ramon Valley Blvd. in San Ramon, was closed on Dec.7 due to a vermin infestation.
Here’s what the health department says they found during a routine inspection:
- Live cockroaches (2 dozen) noted throughout the kitchen.
- Live cockroaches were noted below the kitchen handsink, on the handsink, left of the 3 comp sink on the wall, in the cabinet left of the 3 compartment sink, under the 3 door refrigerator, etc.
- Dead cockroaches noted on the walls near the microwave.
- Dead cockroaches found in the oven.
- Dead cockroaches in the open soy sauce container under the microwave, on floor under the prep table, etc.

If you see brown to black cockroaches you then know they have been dining at Pho Sam. Soak and simmer in their heavenly soy sauce as it’ll make your carapace smooth and shiny!
