After a vehicle chase briefly became a foot chase, Concord police on Sunday arrested a man in a stolen vehicle allegedly containing methamphetamine and ammunition.

At approximately 5:15 a.m., an officer saw a silver Honda SUV driving recklessly in the downtown district. The SUV had no license plates and a pursuit began after the driver refused the officer’s attempt to stop the vehicle.

The driver eventually stopped on Almond Way and the vehicle slowly rolled into the front yard of a residence. The driver exited the vehicle and allegedly fled, with the officer in foot pursuit. The driver was arrested after a short chase.

The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Clenton Fugate. Police said Fugate is a convicted felon who is on felony probation for burglary in Alameda County.

Police said the vehicle was stolen during a commercial burglary. Police also said they found methamphetamine and a firearm magazine with live rounds of ammunition in the vehicle.

Fugate was arrested and booked into the Concord Police Department Jail on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, recklessly evading a peace officer, evading a peace officer while driving the wrong direction, convicted felon in possession of ammunition, resisting/delaying a peace officer, possession of a dangerous drug, and violation of probation.

Great Job, Concord PD, keep up the good work!
Your valiant efforts do not go unnoticed!

I mean if you can’t even be good at criminality…
No boss, no set hours, experience not required, difficult co-workers can be stabbed occasionally and the commute is up to you…
Where do I send my resume? Enough with this working for a living.

Is he out yet?

Probably before we read the article.

Of course he’s out. Grand theft auto, meth, a firearm, convicted felon. What’s he done wrong? I hear Diana Becton is trying to get him some well-deserved economic assistance.

.
Dirtbag Fugate should have been beaten senseless, hog-tied, then dragged thru dog poop.

Scum.

” Out on probation “.
Is everyone keeping score on how many of these people out on probation are continuing their life of crime?
…and how many people are doing crimes, being arrested, just to be released again to continue doing crimes! Have we lost our senses? Is this compassion for the criminal? This is neither good for the criminal nor the good citizens of the town.
I tell you I’m getting so fed up and angry over this I would probably cheer if John Q citizen where to pull out his gun and just let the criminal have it one final time and be done with it. Are Judicial Systems certainly is not doing anything. People around me have had a lot of awful things happen to them and I’m very honest about my own well-being in public. Is this how we’re supposed to be living? The criminals have rule and freedom and the rest of us don’t?

And the name ‘safe neighborhood and schools act’ given to prop47 to fool the voters into voting for it was by Kamala Harris!

How much extra are you willing to contribute for more jails and the staff to run them?

All the money earmarked for israel and ukraine. That should be plenty to get it under control right doh

Still haven’t grown up, Fugate?

Driving recklessly with no plates! Just asking to get pulled over.
