.. 40 + yrs…. enough to see it change a lot and not for the better…. no regional planning between the cities have resulted in a fragmented mess, little emphasis on maintaining infrastructure, and have seen MDUSD become even more of a puppet to their union and governor….

Summer 1979.
Going to Walnut Creek to visit my uncle who owned walnut orchards. We would drive up the two-lane road Pleasanton-Sunol Rd. which parallels Hwy 680. I believe we used to call it the Franklin Canyon Rd. Along the road were large black walnut trees. What an adventure! The first time that I remember it was 1954. What a beautiful area.
Since January, 1949. Almost 75 years!!

Arrived in summer 78 from Houston … left in fall 87 when I became a jarhead … never coming back …

Moved to Walnut Creek in 68′ from SoCal. So beautiful, so mellow, safe. Husband was born in WC Kaiser. Still enjoy calling the Emporium Capwells.
