Woman, Unborn Child Expected To Survive Following Shooting

A woman nine months pregnant was shot in East Oakland on Wednesday night, police said Saturday.

Officers were flagged down at about 9:30 p.m. at 73rd Avenue and International Boulevard about a victim of a shooting.

Officer located and spoke with an Oakland woman who suffered a gunshot wound to her chest, according to police.

The woman was taken to a hospital and she and her unborn baby were in stable condition, police said. Officers located the shooting scene at 77th Avenue and International Boulevard.

Time to call the National Guard to Oakland and set up stop and frisk road blocks. People are dying and it is being ignored like it’s an, “Oh Well that’s just Oakland”. Life has no value there. This slaughter has to stop.

Please! I grew up in Oakland. Attended public school there, Manzanita, Rosevelt, and Oakland High. Attended Samuel Merritt University on PillbHill, Graduated with an RN. Worked in Hispitals in Oakland! So sad to see it go down the Tubes!!
