Similar weather today as yesterday, but here’s a fun comparison: Today’s HIGH in one of our hotter spots will be 96° at Byron Airport in Contra Costa County…Tonight’s LOW in Death Valley will be 97°.
The higher elevations in Death Valley are cooler. Scotty’s Castle, which is located at the northern end of Death Valley at an elevation of 3,000 ft, averages 101 in August, and 61 in February. When I was there a few years ago, it was in the high 70s. That was in November.

Some of my neighbors are landscaping their yards like ccc is like death valley. Not wild about the Arizona look.
