I’ve seen the Sound of Music.

I felt like it was a Political motive film that was apparently directed by the Right. Not worth watching in my opinion.

Not worth seeing for a democrat it is about child trafficking, and child sexual abuse, and child slavery and the effort to stop it. Nothing a democrat is interested in.

Agree. Its kind of like when Avatar came out, everyone thought they were an environmental warrior for having seen the movie. Despite their short lived enthusiasm, nothing happened to fix the problem. And of course the film makers raked it in.

Why would you stand behind human trafficking & call it a right wing politic? So none of the rest of the trash put out today has no political motives just this film? Just curious since you have such a strong opinion of a film that you have not watched…your opinion is not worth much in my opinion

It’s what they are told to think, not what they think themselves.

No one is standing behind human trafficking. But in this divided political climate any message perceived as “right” is going to be disregarded by the “left” and vice versa.

The cure for human trafficking isn’t some 007-like patriot who is going to take out the bad guys with his gun and guile. The cure is for people at home to stop supporting these wars that leave countries decimated and vulnerable to such crime. All you people flying Ukraine flags…you got fooled again.

First off what makes you think I fly a ukrainian flag? Secondly what makes you think my solution is to go “007-patriot”? What I stated is that this issue is hardly a right wing dog whistle but you certainly made it all about politics & standing behind human trafficking.

And if a movie were made by leftists talking about white supremacists hiding behind every rock, it would get a screaming stamp of approval from Traumarx

Over the last few decades there have been movies and TV shows with human trafficking as a theme. It’s really nothing new. I think their market is those who have never watched any of those. But for that is it a good effort. And I think some of the crowd going to view is blow back for the “woke” entertainment they been trying to serve us.
.
I may check it out when it is streaming. Theaters don’t have pause buttons.

I would ask if you have not seen the film, how can you evaluate that it is not worth watching? A preconceived opinion is generally an uniformed one.

@TRAUMARX….Maybe just stick to your seatbelt diatribes…just sayin’

@Traumarx… you didn’t see it. It wasn’t political. it wasn’t entertaining. It was a great film. It had nothing to do with right or left but rather right and wrong. You couldn’t leave the theater without having a better understanding of the horrors going on with children.

I guess you just turn a blind eye to child sex trafficking.

TRAUMARX,
.
You “felt that it was a Political motive film that was apparently directed by the Right” and “Not worth watching in my opinion.” It’s an action-thriller based on a true story having to do with child trafficking. Yes, so political!!! I think you meant “distributed by the Right” and not directed by the Right,” and by “Right” you mean “Christian.” Angel Studios acquired the film from Disney, who acquired the film through its acquisition of 21st Century Fox. The film was made while the 21st Century Fox acquisition was in progress and awaiting completion. So, you really know nothing about the film, it’s director or distributor, you only know that the distributor is a Christian based company that you “feel” put out the film for political reasons and therefore not worth watching. Would you have made the same comment if Disney distributed the film? No, you wouldn’t have!!! You sound like a BIGOT!!! You look like a BIGOT!!! You must be a BIGOT!!!

Not yet.
A few friends have and say it was worth watching it.

Have not seen it. It caught my attention. Much respect for the Actor Jim Caviezel and the roles he chooses Seems to be doing well @ box. As he says, open eyes to the millions of children that need help.

… two cycle motorcycle twin with open expansion chambers at full chat? ….454 supercharged Chev with headers on a ski boat at 65 mph? full throttle nitro drags just off the line? ……. Newsom, Weiner, Bonta and Becton with their mouth shut? … that’s the sound of freedom to me

Reminds me of my Yamaha RD with Denco chambers…sweet sound and smell.

@DOMO….For me it’s a straight-piped, dual exhaust, pumped-up HD shovelhead at full song…the sound of freedom in the USA.

Haven’t been to the theatre and this and Opp would be the ones if I did go. Certainly Not Barbi with a 42 year old guy trying to play Ken.

Yes, the Sound of Freedom is VERY important to see, but the following is the complete story told by former Senator John DeCamp, who, back in the late 1980s into the mid 1990s, along with five other Government representatives in both the Republican and Democratic parties, investigated and subsequently proved that a massive child-sex trafficking ring or organization was indeed in operation in both America and abroad.

Unfortunately, each investigation (five in total) was ultimately shut down.

We work with New Day For Children, a local non-profit that helps get kids out of the grip of traffickers. Hearing testimonies and meeting victims firsthand changes the way you think about the topic. No matter your political affiliation, we all need to get involved to protect our children.

https://newdayforchildren.com/

Their fall fundraiser is Saturday, September 16, 2023 5:00 PM 8:00 PM at Shadelands Ranch Museum – 2660 Ygnacio Valley Road. If you can’t make the event, please donate if you can.

No. But I heard the sounds of freedom when the Blue Angels flew over San Francisco.

5
12

Nope and I don’t plan to. I don’t like the director or main actor and what nonsense they spew, so they will not receive any of my money. Do any of the proceeds from this movie go to stopping the problem or is it a pull at the heart strings and pocket it all? I think the later so nah I’m good. It is a problem and I’m glad California’s safety committee pulled their heads out … and passed SB 14. There’s a bit of a win and movement towards the problem. It’s after they’re caught and the damage has already happened but it something.

24

KC,
.
Yeah, that’s a good one, you trust government to solve the problem.
.
You don’t like what the main actor and director “spew” in movies or in life?
.
Good to know that you don’t watch or listen to any entertainment product that could “tug at the heartstrings” unless profits from that entertainment product are used “to stop the problem.”

Hollywood democrats are the largest purchasers of children. They and their minions are trying hard to suppress this movie, smearing it at every turn. Some of those minions found their way into this comment section. Many are NAMBLA members.

Qanon adjacent, anti semite, white supremacy, far right, is how this movie is being branded by the CNN, Msnbc, blue anon, redit crowd. There must be some truth in it. When did protecting children from sex trafficking and pedophiles become a divisive political issue? I don’t understand this world anymore.

13
12

SAM
You couldn’t be more wrong. Those people are endorsing the movie.
Quit making up BS all the time.

Nope. Saw Oppenheimer and it was excellent.

4

Dang. I didn’t know you could hear sounds.

Gee AJR…. they’ve been making talkies since 1926

It was a fantastic movie. The first night we tried to see it, the projector was not working so we went the next night and it was such a great film. Movie is based off a true story. This movie sheds light on child trafficking and is meant to bring awareness. I would recommend

Yes I have. Anytime I’m military airport and hear the jets take of and land. Jet noise, now THAT’S the sound of freedom!
