A person was found dead Monday afternoon at the Premier Inn in Concord, authorities said.

Police were called to the motel on Concord Avenue at 1:36 p.m., and said about 30 minutes later that it appeared the person had died of natural causes, but officers were still at the scene.

I was at the intersection of Galindo and Willow Pass when all the police cars went by me rolling code 3. I wondered what was going on. This clears up that question. The Premier Inn is a real Fleabag. I went. There are many 911 calls when I was a Paramedic in this county.

LMFAO

Didn’t newsom buy that sleazy 8 and wrap a fence around it and stock it with homeless, pedophiles and recently released prisoners? This is so shocking

No that was motel 6 in pittsburg

You sure about that? I distinctly remember the gates going up and newsom on the news there. Oh maybe it was a COVID HOAX forced quarantine site. Anyway, it’s newsoms fault, as is everything this state is suffering

During Covid, they did use it to house the Homeless, I kind of think it still might be.

Don’t forget dope addicts, bums, mass murders, perverts and drug dealers. All potential Democrat voters.

Nearly every person I know who has run-ins with the law are all republicans/trumpers (especially the meth addicts). These comments make no sense.

I think it’s the opposite. Most in this area or the Bay Area hate trump and are violent and preach about all the things that are actually not good. Republicans are usually the ones with busy jobs and don’t have time for all the nonsense….

Nearly every person you know who has run-ins with the law. Just how many undesirables, and meth addicts, do you know? One? Five? Ten? What does that say about your choice of acquaintances, and more importantly, what does it say about your character?
Birds of a feather.

A misnamed establishment if there ever was one.

No the county bought motel 6 in Pittsburgh, not the premier inn.

We can only speculate … because these crack reporters are busy on FB.

Within this very short article: “it appeared the person had died of natural causes.”

Police said it appeared they died of natural causes. Since when are patrol officers qualified to diagnose and report a cause of death?

I imagine an investigation ruling out foul play or drug involvement would play into that

Well…. they it say it ‘appears’…..

@ SANDRA SIMENTAL ~
Still waiting to hear about that one too.

Wasn’t this the Sleazy 8 at one point? The tweakers paradise?
This can’t be the first dead body found there

So much insensitivity here. I have a friend who owns several motel properties in the midwest. He franchises his properties to nationally known chains. He tells me that there are more deaths from natural causes at hotels/motels than any other cause.

Truly insensitive people on here. Not only regarding the motel situation just no empathy for the grief of the people who have lost a loved one. NO MATTER what the cause of death is, a person is gone and people are hurting. The cruel comments of the people who have died of overdoses is sickening. No one wants to grow up and become addicted and there are so many causes of addiction. I just wish people could stop being so hateful. Most people send out RIP’s and condolences to celebrities who succumb to addiction but the no name person in a bart train was worthless. Very sad

The main cause of addiction is…addiction. Weak minded, people who love to party and be high. That’s it, nothing more. People who care about getting high more than life. There’s nothing more deep than that. I would love to get high and tweak around all day and night doing sex with crazy high chicks and sleeping all day. But it comes with a high risk of addiction and death. Quit making excuses for people who just want to be high all the time. Especially now with fentanyl killing people left and right. You liberals are wack.

@Sam “Weak minded, people who love to party and be high. That’s it, nothing more” This couldn’t be further from the truth… There are SO many factors that cause addiction at every level of societal status. Addiction has happened to many people as the result of an injury and getting hooked on pain meds given from their dr.
I lost my oldest brother to alcoholism. He was highly successful but after the tragic loss of his 30 yr old son, just couldn’t cope. Had nothing to do with wanting to party, so to be so closed minded is really sad and hurtful to those of us who have lost loved ones or dealing with watching their battle.
“Liberals are wack” whatever!?!?!?!

Nah, loving to get messed up is at the core of it all. We all have challenges in this life. We all are responsible for pulling ourselves through. Or staying smashed or geeked up until it takes your life. It’s just a choice.

That is not ‘Just It’. The sad truth is, most addicts are not partying or having fun but they probably are ‘weak minded people’ that’s why addiction was able to grab hold. They are miserable in their choices. They are alone and depressed. Yes, they brought that on themselves but it’s not all fun and games. It’s a very dark and lonely place. I only hope your naïve comment comes from a place of not understanding. May you be so lucky to not have to helplessly witness the downward spiral of addiction on a loved one.

When they say “person” … usually a woman … it boggles the mind how far journalism has sunk … bring back Cronkite!

As a mother of an addict, these articles (and comments) make me so sad. I haven’t seen or talked to my son in months. When I read things like this, my heart drop, just wondering if it’s him? Please, practice a little empathy. Some people make awful decisions and it takes them by storm. Even drug addicts can be good people from good families. I pray for who’s ever family member that is, drugs or natural causes. May they finally be at peace.

Amen to that

Amen

I saw demolish this motel and either replace it with a shopping center more apartments instead of a motel.
