Peanut butter and ketchup?? Death penalty.

My exhusband was from Madison Wisconsin, he liked peanut butter and pickles. Some Americans have weird weird taste.

For sure A…Has to be local honey to get the full effect. One can get local bee pollen at Harvest House to sprinkle in tea or whatever you choose as well. That time of year folks. More than welcome to send a link where I get my fresh local honey. Try and stay cool and fresh!!

D : Peanut Butter, Banana, and Bacon. Good enough for Elvis

could probably do peanut butter and honey, not so sure about with ketchup.

@Jeff (The Other One)
Was thinking the same thing.

Reminds me when I was a kid, when we were out of lunch meat, I would have peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches.

A all the way.

@ S ~
E) Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Cream
F) Peanut Butter and Dill Pickle Chips
Both are surprisingly good.
But I would go will A!

Yuck. I would try the honey but hot sauce with onion is better.

C) I just like crunchy peanut butter with whole wheat toast for a sandwich. Pickles would be interesting and I am aware some people like those sandwiches that way (and bananas too). I also miss the grind yourself peanut butter that many stores like Nob Hill had available before the pandemic. That was the freshest and least expensive peanut butter with no additives. It also kept in the cupboard and didn’t require refrigeration.

I like crunchy peanut butter. I couple of spoonfuls is a nice protein pick up, I prefer it that way to having it on a sandwich. Peanut butter on sliced apple is also a nice healthy snack. As for my comment about some American’s have weird taste, please don’t get offended, it was somewhat tongue in cheek. In defense of my exhusband, he actually liked and appreciated really good cuisine. Another of his favorite, which I also like were Wisconsin’s Bratwurst cooked in beer.

I like peanut butter on a warm plain bagel. Very tasty.

In the 50s/60s at Meadow Homes school they used to have “Ants on a log” with the cafeteria lunches, I was a brown bagger but my Mom would make them for me. It was celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins lined up on top. Pretty tasty treat, I’d eat that now 60+ years later.

Tis the weather for solicitors to come a knockin. Wondering if anyone else has experienced a “more than usual” for your neighborhood number of them.

Had a creepy one three days ago. First, on a private lane, second posted security on property and no solicitors very clearly. I realize they don’t care about that. Had gone to neighbors directly across on camera before me. My doorbell rang, then a few seconds later, bang bang bang bang 4x’s on my Security Door. I couldn’t get to the door to say you need to leave now as Police advise, not opening it. He left. He came back at 8:32pm same day. No banging this time, but did come back camera showed. Red hair/white about 5’9″ khaki tan shorts/age range 25-30 years. Have a safe evening everyone, another hot one tomorrow.

Yikes… that’s scary and maybe beyond a normal solicitor. My go-to for normal solicitors is “I don’t open the door for people I don’t know.” Period. No discussion. They usually leave.

My “No Solicitors” sign works well. Anyone who ignores it with a sales pitch gets a tongue lashing. I wanted to replace the doorbell with a camera doorbell the same brand as my other where I could just ask on the app “can I help you” which ought to spook them out. The companies customers wanted longer record times and that meant they had to make a more expensive camera which price I couldn’t justify.

Now that I’m getting a little older and wiser, I’m OK with calling everyone going faster than me a total idiot, and anyone going slower than me a total idiot. So I feel I’ve reached a good balance. Well done, me.

If you’re trying to quote Carlin it goes like this —

“Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?”

George Carlin

Oh my god! My apologies to the great George Carlin for stealing his joke. I just looked it up on YouTube and yes, I do remember watching that.

And remember Carlin’s seven words you can’t say on television?
I’m pretty sure at least four of them are acceptable now on TV and on the Senate Floor. It’s interesting how words that used to be considered vulgar are now approved of when their delivery is passionate.

Well I more day of pride month…endured another year of attempted brainwashing.

I heard the pride marchers are gonna try and invade local 4th of July parades. They have their own parade but can’t be happy with that..

Right. They can’t be happy because of mental illness. The good news is, ‘straight? gays are finally voicing the correct viewpoint by not championing the Pride perverts. The misogyny of this hate group is obvious.

Did everyone forget that PRIDE is one of the seven deadly sins? LOL

Why is it not considered an invasion of privacy when companies look into or demand to see an applicant’s social media profile in order to make a hiring determination? This seems to be a violation of freedom of speech. When people are off the clock, they have a right to freely express themselves and live their lives. On the other hand, if someone violates a company’s rules and regulations while on the clock then of course they should be reprimanded or let go.

I agree that we’re all entitled to our privacy off the clock. Employers do this to get a “feel” as to who they’re hiring. We all have to be careful what we post online. It can come back to haunt you.

No book report. Have a great weekend and 4th of July. Try not to sizzle in the heat too much.

Working in a mirror factory is something I could totally see myself doing.

Humor on a hot afternoon,
https://bluebirdofbitterness.com/

Interesting conversation. Maybe this website should consider establishing a politics forum to discuss such things.

Hey I see the conversation has move on a little bit from the peanut butter and ?, I have to confess that brought back one of the sweetest memories.. It was 8th grade,1974. i bought a really cool fluorescent tee shirt at head shop at Sun Valley Mall for under 10 bucks for sure. It had a cartoon picture of a Bee and it said Be healthy Eat Your Honey and the Bee had such a content grin on His face! As much as I have always love peanut butter its now optional But to this day I’ll always eat My honey whenever I can!…

Saturday evening and Chem trails are in North Concord. Perfect time since everyone is using their air conditioners and pumping all those chemicals into their homes. Chemtrails linger for hours. Take a look.

just a very nice Moon at this time.

@FPN….Good thing the earth is flat otherwise the chemtrails would fall on us faster….makes sense to me.

Got a bit of an education today.
Yesterday clothes washer not spinning at high speed and making noise, which sounded like a relay not fully closing in a pinball game. Wife NOT HAPPY having to take wet clothes to Grandkids to wash !
Had overnight to “think”, what could it be . . . . which is NEVER a good thing.
.
Had already been online, found, priced, but not ordered a wash tub drive motor (wouldn’t spin fast)
.
Figured as long as we’re this far into disassembly, lets check tub drain pump strainer/filter.
Pulled pump and Bingo, pump impeller had bra underwire sticking into it. Darn thing is thin enough made out of spring steel, curved just right to make out 90 degree wash tub drain hose then worked it’s way thru holes in strainer and finally sticking into pump chamber. Checked spin cycle, no noise.
.
Think it’s one thing and . . . . . .
.
What’s nice it’s 40 year old washer, there’s no stupid $125 door interlock switch, no error codes, in short how washers would still be built if weren’t for engineers and lawyers.

@ORIGINAL G….Forty year old washers don’t have many parts to diagnose a problem, they all used pretty much the same parts from brand to brand. I diagnosed a worn out timing chain on my 57 year old Dodge pickup which through the years I’ve changed many for that engine. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to change it only to find out the center of the fan pulley had broken out. Dug through my old Mopar parts, found another pulley and 4 bolts later it was fixed…like you said, “You think it’s one thing and….”.

There is something to be said for the days of my grandparents with a Kelvinator in the Kitchen and a Nash in the driveway.

Gee our old La Salle ran great….
