A man was found dead inside the bathroom at the Concord BART station on Tuesday, according to BART officials.

Just after 3 p.m., Officers located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from an apparent drug overdose in the bathroom.

The officers administered two doses of NARCAN and summoned for medical assistance.

Fire personnel responded and ultimately declared the person deceased. The case is under investigation, however there is no foul play suspected at this time, according to BART police.

.
‘Glad BART found the carcass before it started stinking.
.
Let’s all thank Buckethead Biden,
Newscum, and all liberals for their highly effective enforcement of immigration and border laws (Sarcasm intended).

are those bathrooms genderless too? What is this world coming to and when will the Big Dems wakeup to the disaster they are causing?

46
37

I don’t think that Democrats nor Republicans individually have anything to do with this. Our society is catering to all of the people that are yelling “what about us” regarding race, religion, sexual preference, life style, etc. We should not be “liable” for things that happened in the past. We should learn from them and go forward.

Ok..let’s discuss the fentanyl problem every time I hear there’s a big bust of fentanyl they always say it could kill what they have just found millions and millions of people yet they find these big busts of fentanyl all the time and still say they’re only barely scraping the surface of what’s coming across now if that’s true how come there are not millions and millions of people dying of fentanyl if there’s so much of it pouring across the border something doesn’t make a lot of sense here.
Where is all this fit and all supposedly going if it’s not killing millions and millions and millions of people because it just doesn’t make a lot of sense that they just found a bunch somewhere coming across some border and they say this would kill the population five times over of San Francisco well I haven’t seen that happening and I know there’s a hundred times more fentanyl coming across then they’re actually finding…

Apparently, you are unaware of a bodies drug tolerance..

Regardless of the reasons why this poor soul passed away, can anyone imagine a more horrible way to die?

Alone with a drug overdose in a Bart toilet.

I can’t imagine much that would be more horrible.

13
4

DO drugs… pay the price. What are they hoping to gain from getting high?

10
8

BART washrooms have flush toilets, running potable water, offer the privacy of a locked door and are regularly cleaned by professional janitors. The deceased here also enjoyed access to potent pain management medication.

About 5 billion humans won’t be so fortunate to meet their end ensconced in such modern luxuries.

Oh cry me a river, Abe.
.
Here is a tissue.
.

@abe ~ I agree 100%, may he rest in peace and free from pain. Prayers to the loved ones of this lost family/friend. No matter how he passed, a family is grieving and I’m sorry for their loss

If he did get high and then die there he likey died in a happy state

In what way are President Biden, Governor Newsom, and immigration policies relevant to this story?

50
47

Wake up! Where have you been?
.
Drugs, like fentanyl, are pouring across the border due to Buckethead Biden, Newscum, and liberals’ lack of enforcement of border and immigration laws.
.
Do you not believe in the sovereignty of the United States of America?
.

The majority of fentanyl smuggled into the country (86%) is brought in by US citizens.

I suppose it’s useless to point this out, but here we are.

https://www.cato.org/blog/fentanyl-smuggled-us-citizens-us-citizens-not-asylum-seekers

12
9

I’m not sure your point. The open border policy makes smuggling much easier and whether it’s illegals or citizens doesn’t matter.

12
3

Nothing but a bunch of buzzwords. What do you mean by “the open border policy”? Can you point to the specifics? Did you read the article cited by DAVID?
.
“Over 90 percent of fentanyl seizures occur at legal crossing points or interior vehicle checkpoints, not on illegal migration routes”
.
So are you saying trade with Mexico mean “open border policy”. Do you want to close the borders? I read you for months and months whining about the price of goods such as produce at the local grocery stores. Have you thought about how much your produce is going to cost if we close the border with Mexico?
.
Now let’s look at fentanyl related deaths and compare the numbers in 2016 the last year of the Obama administration with 2020 the last year of the Trump administration.
.
In 2016 there were 17,696 opioid (fentanyl) deaths reported and in 2020 that number increased to 53,480.
..
Why was there three fold increase from 2016 to 2020. Was it “open border policy” of the Trump administration?
.
Here is a link for the numbers:

Thats because illegals come in without a hitch(or search) and are released into our country. They don’t show up on your stat sheet.

Just a guess but maybe that they’re open border policy creating the fentanyl epidemic that has something to do with this, as well as their campaign to destroy traditional American values and encourage homelessness.

46
14

Are you serious?

22
6

You can pass all the drug laws you want it won’t matter. As long as there is a demand for it it will keep coming in. It didn’t work in the 80s with coke and it won’t work for anything else. You need to make the addicts go to rehab or put them in jail or mental health facility if that’s what it takes. It’s not rocket science!

29

yep…
Like firearms; as long as it is manufactured, it can be obtained.

2
6

it needs to be stopped at the source, everything else will follow..

Better question CHAMPAGNEKITTY, how are they not & how are you that blind?

13
7

Which party gives free needles and crack pipes to addicts? Which party insists on giving free housing and food to addicts so they can spend all available funds on their addiction? Which party made it impossible to force addicts into rehab, or face lengthy jail stays? Why is one third of the nation’s homeless in California?

Yours is such an incredibly uninformed question, I despair for our country. Both parties are terrible. Only one seems to be openly trying to dismantle our society.

What an insensitive comment! What has illegal immigration got to do with someone dying of a drug overdose. Not all drugs are coming across our southern border. There are many sources. No matter how many laws, the government passes against drugs, they are still going to be available to people. People make bad choices as this man did, but he still died and he might have family that are now grieving his loss. Try to be a little more human, and show some compassion. Yes, our current administration has failed to protect our country against the invasion from the south but that’s what happens when Democrats are in control.

20
42

Not so insensitive when fentanyl is streaming over the border but let’s not hurt your fee fees

17
8

I’m starting to wonder how much fentanyl is actually coming over or being made here. According to all the news reports and media and the government so-called experts there’s enough fentanyl coming across the border and being made illegally here that it can kill tens of millions of people well how come it’s not? Again they’re always making some supposedly big bust that will kill millions of people if it were on the street well I don’t see anywhere near millions of people being killed with what’s actually out on the street so what’s going on here it’s starting to sound like a load of crap to me

4
1

with illegal immigration you get people with a second grade education . No brain = drug overdose.

My truck was robbed yesterday in the Bart concord parking garage . How does this happen. What can we do to fix this.

Ah… they just need more money to prevent these things……..maybe raise the toll on the bridges temporarily to solve this. “I can’t believe I got through that sentence without throwing up”. This is why people don’t ride BART…why would you ever want to expose yourself to this chaos? sorry for another lost soul but BART is a failed transit agency.

39
5

Yeah sure! I guess 174,000 people a day riding the train are signs of a definite failure! 🤪😂

4
31

You actually believe that stat Robert? You seem really gullible

13
6

@BDML
174,000 daily riders so there can’t possibly be any problems. With that logic, he also wonders why he has no money when he still has checks left.

4
1

That seems like a lot of riders, but only 37 of them paid their fares.

Lib response – we need more access to Narcan!

25
8

Or suggest that BART employ bathroom doctors at each station

4
2

Point of interest; or maybe not…
.
I played taxi a few days ago, brining someone home after an operation.
They were Rx’ed 7 days worth of a narcotic pain pill.
The discharge pharmacy now has a standard practice of sending home Narcan along with the meds….

5
1

@S I had Norco rx 10 day suply I received no narcan from kaiser. What was the the hospital you picked them up from?

S F Kaiser

Maybe that it was S F is a reason????

Wow, this was happening when I got off the train yesterday. Didn’t know he was dead.

5
2

You saw the man?

Yes raise the bridge tolls so this doesn’t happen!
Now here is the one large reason less people want to ride BARF. Obviously toll hikes will take care of this ongoing problem and people will start riding again.

BARF is becoming worse than NYC train transit..

Enjoy BARF people!

What other ways are drugs coming in? Everything comes over our boarders. There is no other way.

13
6

Drugs don’t have to come across a border there’s plenty of illegal drugs being made right here in America the government doesn’t want to report that though they want to blame everything coming over the border illegally, I wouldn’t trust the government for nothing anymore with what there’re reporting, bunch of liars.

3
6

@FPN…..Drugs come UNDER the borders as well. Just saw a TV show that stated a large portion of drugs come into the States via UPS International.

1
1

Fentanyl is not just coming across the southern border, but via commercial airlines, shipping, East Coast, up North and via the Caribbean Basin. There is so much $ to be made with little risk that it will continue to rip apart America and many other countries for years.

9
2

So sad BART loses another rider.

13
3

Soo heartbreaking I pray he made it to heaven.. and I pray comfort for his family and there loss.. soo sad…

10
5

There’s your solution to the homeless program. Hand out fentanyl.

17

Brutal Schmee 😂

Why do we spend so much time, money and resources trying to save drug addicts? Bleeding hearts foolishly believe every life is valuable. i say a life is valuable if it’s used to better the human condition. Maybe it’s my Spartan blood ( My ancestors tossed deformed babies off a cliff because of limited resources.), but I believe we should focus on helping those people who might actually offer some contribution to society. If an addict can kick on their on and start fresh, God bless them; otherwise, save the money for those worthy.

10
7

Bleeding hearts foolishly believe every life is valuable!
Focus on helping those people who might actually offer some contribution to society!
Are you kidding me?
What the mentally ill or the handicapped, most are not going to contribute so just let them die. Mmmm I think I remember something similar in Europe in the 30s.
What has happened to the human fiber?

All of the ills of society are symptoms of a broken society. Are we so in the eye of the cyclone that we don’t notice as a collective? We must re-engineer the broken paradigm to put us back on track. Divisiveness must be stopped…

8
2

And ……. the worst drug of them all is Marijuana!!! All the “Pot Heads” are living in LaLa Land thinking that it doesn’t do them any harm. Try to find me any hard core “Addicts” that didn’t start out using that addictive “weed”.
Why do you think there’s so many people that don’t want to work at all; or want to work at home so they can do their job with a buzz on?!? Lots of really STUPID people out there that are taking their toll on society’s downfall.

8
11

…. another homeless drug addict? … not surprised

4
2

You are all being deliberately obtuse or ignorant if you think this is all due to the democrats.

4
15

Politicians have intimate knowledge of addiction process ? ? ?
I think not.
.
Handing out drug paraphernalia may stop spread of disease, but it enables addiction which is nothing more than a slow form of suicide. Reducing drug possession to a misdemeanor (2014 Personal use of most illegal drugs in Prop. 47 ) means there is no intervention by ‘the system’. Leaving addicts on our streets to do crimes to get money for their fix, perpetuating their decline and often their death.
.
Until Prop 47 is reversed rampant retail theft and drug use will only get worse.
.
Only cure to these problems is stop electing DEMs

Do stupid things, win stupid prizes. No sympathy here.

Doing stupid things results in winning stupid prizes. No sympathy here.

Does anyone else notice how Democrats create these huge problems and then turn around and act like they are going to save us they have all the answers for transparency I despise Democrats I believe they are destroying this country on purpose did the person in the bathroom die from climate change

11
2

🎯 and turn around and throw your money at it! Wash, rinse, repeat…

It’s rather sad this guy died inside the BART Station. Was he in possession of a valid ticket?
If not, perhaps he was in search of a way to legally exit the station.
With apologies to The Kingston Trio.

@THE FEARLESS SPECTATOR…Tom Dooley???

2
1

Well, did he ever return?
No, he never returned and his fate is still unlearned (What a pity)
He may ride forever ‘neath the streets of Boston
And he’s the man who never returned

3
1

M.T.A. Why did you have to start this???? I’m already now through their stuff and into the Brothers Four. I do have the actual records but I’m listening on YouTube.

3
1

One less addict to pollute our community. They all wind up like this eventually. Dope is for dopes. Retired CoCo Paramedic here.

4
2

BART doesn’t need this kind of image if it wants to stay running. Running a deficit is no way to
go. 2 NARCAN doses didn’t do it? Must be fentanyl.
