The following is from the Pittsburg Police Department:
At 3:30 p.m., Pittsburg Police Officers responded to an apartment at 1010 Power Avenue (Belmont Apartments) for a domestic violence incident.
A man and woman were involved in a fight inside an apartment, and the man was stabbed in the chest.
Officers and Contra Costa Fire personnel attempted to perform life-saving measures, however, he succumbed to his injuries.
The woman was taken into custody due to the incident and will be transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
This is an ongoing investigation, and we cannot, at this time, provide any further information.
He probably deserved it. I wouldn’t be surprised if PPD has a number of calls that they got about this couple. There’s a reason why women end up killing their abuser. Enough is enough.
Deserved? He probably was a victim of domestic abuse. It is rarely reported but accounts to 40% of the cases ( percentage isprobably higher)

Gee, there’s been a lot of knife attacks and murders in this area lately. Is it time that we
maybe consider banning knives?…. just saying… it follows the other logic regarding weapons being presented
Some cities (SF and Oakland) already have ordinance that chips away people right to carry knives; for example, a knife that is legal to be carry in CA could be illegal to carry in SF or Oakland
ANYTHING can be used as a weapon , be a little smarter then that.
Lets be reasonable, we should only ban assult knives….
