An Antioch man was sentenced Monday to 19 years and seven months in prison for his conviction for the sex trafficking of two minors in 2019.
A federal judge in Fresno sentenced 33-year-old Darnell Bernard Edwards, who was found guilty of taking two minors to the Desert Star Motel in Bakersfield — and other locations in the state — where they engaged in prostitution in April and May of 2019.
Prosecutors said Edwards supplied them with marijuana, and all three had the letter D and a crown tattooed on their bodies.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s office of the Eastern District of California, this case was the product of an investigation by the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations and the Bakersfield Police Department, with assistance from the Antioch Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Gappa prosecuted the case.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Fast cash doesn’t last; pimping ain’t easy!
19 years isn’t enough for crimes involve minors; boil him and feed him to the wolves!
Maybe darnell needs to give them some reperations.
I’d be no good at any kind of trafficking… just no good at timing and organizing.
If I even tried sex trafficking I’d have people banging into each other left & right….
probably just wind up in a big pile.
Felina says I’m just unclear on the concept.
@DR. JELLYFINGER…..Ahhh Felina, you were taken under her spell?……
