Yelp! Readers Vote Olive Garden As California’s Favorite Restaurant Brand

Yelp! readers are apparently smart people.

Olive Garden has been voted California’s favorite brand, according to the Yelp! blog.

Back in 2008, Concord was actually within a few plan approvals of landing an Olive Garden. Olive Garden purchased the property next to Golden Corral on Diamond Blvd. and had plans drawn up for a 7,000-square-foot restaurant, but they backed out, and sold the property to Seafood City, who eventually constructed a grocery store and several other businesses.

QUESTION: If you had to choose (besides Olive Garden), what restaurant brand would you say is your favorite?

Big thanks to “S” for the news-tip!

Must’ve been rigged! And we have an idea who rigged it! 🤣

My home kitchen is my favorite brand because I know what goes into the food. You never know otherwise!

They used Dominion software to tabulate the results. The clear winner was Chili’s until the overnight votes were counted.

Well Yelp is not nearly as relevant anymore which is nice because Yelp is not your friend. Google reviews all day. Go away Yelp. Trying to make businesses pay to take down bad reviews? Lol bye. Go Bankrupt.

Yelp squashes some reviews – I know this.

I just read the Yelp reviews for the OG Pittsburg location and they have 3 stars. I really don’t have any favorite restaurants anymore.

My family has always liked Black Bear Diner, Buttercup Pantry, Kevin’s Noodle House, and Naan ‘n’ Curry, and I like Urban Plates and Sam’s Kebabs and Gyros but I don’t know if anybody else in my family have eaten at them. Olive Garden is yucky to me except for their Tuscan something or another soup, but I haven’t been to one in well over a decade. Maybe people just like their unlimited shrimp fest thing.

No… wrong attitude!
Yelp is the perfect pollster to get the hum drum, run of the mill, average, oblivious California consumer opinion.
I’m surprised they didn’t pick McDonald’s.

We dont need yelp poles. We need the spirit poles. The perfect defence against Chinese baloons landing.

Mmmm…..Olive Garden Today! Stomach pains Tomorrow! I’d vote for that!

I’ve only been to Olive Garden once and that was in the Seattle area back in the 1990s when visiting friends. Prior to 1991 I had lived in that area and with the same friends visited a number of locally owned Italian gourmet restaurants. Comparatively I was unimpressed with Olive Garden since it was a chain mass market restaurant. I wondered why my friends even wanted to go there.
