On Saturday night just after 8 p.m., a CHP Contra Costa Officer was conducting an enforcement stop on a Chevrolet on the right shoulder of southbound hwy.242, south of hwy.4 in Concord.

The Officer was standing near the Chevrolet when a Mercedes traveling southbound veered from the roadway and struck the rear of the Chevrolet. The force of the crash caused the Chevrolet to strike the Officer.

The Officer was transported to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries and later released. She is expected to make a full recovery.

The driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

It’s a sign you have too many drunk/drugged drivers when they slam into police stops for DUIs

Here’s DA’s chance to show that she values LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Yeah, right…she is the reason for all this lawlessness.

.
Because it’s medicinal.
.
Because it’s for recreation.
.
… Stupid voters.

That’s a dangerous spot. People come flying down that transition from westbound for to southbound 242. Plus you have people merging from eastbound for under the same stretch it’s been a lot of accidents in that area.I try to avoid it. ( Plus have it there been gunfire quite a few times in that area too?)

C’mon Exit 12A….. Nobody said it was because of marijuana, it couldn’t be… the dope smokers keep telling us pot never hurts anyone… well, they never mention the Cartels that murder alot of people & make millions off of marijuana smuggling & sales… but aside from that, well…. and maybe some dealers stabbing each other now & then… harmless, perfectly harmless.

Cartels gave up on pot when Fentanyl came into the picture. Allot more money in that and meth.

Mexican cartels own property in Mendocino, Humboldt, and Trinity counties where they grow pot.

I’ll call your bluff: Show us a deed which names a cartel as the owner of any such parcel.

It doesn’t really matter where they grow it, the fact is murderous organized criminal cartels deal drugs and the people who buy drugs are supporting them. How cool, laid back & mellow is that?

I drove past right after. Tough job for CHP we salute them but do not envy them. I saw a study that impaired drivers tend to drift towards bright or flashing lights. Hopefully they are trained the lights are inevitable targets and to always watch their back

Drugged morons are attracted to lights. We should just put up a bunch of big mosquito zappers, car-sized, alongside the highway where druggies drive…Turned all the way up.

People tend to steer towards whatever they are looking at.

And they say Weed and Dope is harmless…………

Nobody says driving stoned is harmless.

We rightly prosecute DUI offenders harshly, irrespective of the intoxicant.

Beyond that, the government has no business infringing on individuals’ choice to ingest any substance they desire.

.
How about liberal CA voters just legalize fentanyl and “tranq” for “recreation” and allow the drug users and abusers to have at it.
.
It would address some of the homeless problem and the revolving door of resuscitation using Narcan.
.
Doing so makes total sense to a liberal because it would no longer be a crime.
.
(Sarcasm intended, mostly).

I am for legalizing everything. As long as we stop treating overdoses and using Narcan. We are stoping natural selection, which we so desperately need right now.
