The Concord Design Review Board tonight will discuss the proposed Chick-fil-A restaurant on Diamond Blvd.
As we previously reported, Chick-fil-A will be located where the former Claim Jumper restaurant was located, in the Willows Shopping Center.
The proposed 4,974-square-foot restaurant would have a drive-thru, and sit on 1.2 acres.
The board will discuss updated trash enclosure plans, as well as the roof plan and elevations.
The site would also feature an outdoor patio and a drive-thru queuing for approximately 43 vehicles. It will employ 50 to 75 full-time and part-time employees.
Chick-fil-A has over 2,800 restaurants in 47 states.
Well, my Hubby will like this, close to home. I don’t like the Walnut Creek traffic, .. even to get there.
I’ll visit Fuddruckers for wedge fries & jalapeno cheese sauce while he’s at Chick’s, LOL!
Haha! I’m a cheap date for the occasional junk food foray.
I wonder if this will take the pressure off the Walnut Creek location and even out the traffic between the two.
If it doesn’t and draws the same crowd, daily…this is going to be a nightmare. I’ve already stopped going to the Veranda because the parking is a chore. This could affect everyone…Home Depot, the hotel, REI…yikes.
I am not a fan of drive-throughs in general and almost always go inside to order, but Chick-fil-a has mastered the double drive-through lane. The traffic moves very quickly, and the line is usually entirely on-premises.
I’ll not park in the Veranda anymore I’ll try the drive through if they get it mastered and isn’t a nightmare
I hope it won’t be in a horrible place like the new Dutch Bros. That place is going to cause serious issues for the businesses and people who won’t be able to access their location. TERRIBLE choice there!!
Yes. Review the plans. The design of this structure is uninspired. I think that the building should be made to resemble a gaint chicken.
The Coyotes in the nearby Creek are the size of wolves. They will love the new Chicken next door neighbors immensely.
