Antioch Police on Saturday released the following information on the arrest of a man who is suspected of stabbing three people on Saturday:

On March 18, 2023, at approximately 3:54 pm, the Antioch Police Department’s Communications Center began receiving calls regarding a disturbance in the 100 block of Wilbur Avenue.

Shortly after, they received another call stating people were being stabbed at the location. Antioch Police Officers immediately responded to the scene and noticed a vehicle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed.

One officer pursued the vehicle where it was involved in a collision in Solano County and the suspect, a 37-year-old, Antioch resident, was taken into custody. No one was injured as a result of the collision and the suspect was evaluated at a local hospital for precaution.

While that officer pursued the suspect, other officers immediately rendered aid to three victims that were suffering from stab wounds.

One victim was a 35-year-old female who was pregnant, a 14-year-old male, and a 11-year-old female. All three victims were transported to local hospitals and two are listed in critical condition. This is an isolated incident and there is no active threat to the public.

This is an active investigation and members of our Investigations Bureau to include Crime Scene Investigators and Violent Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Gerber at (925)481-8297 or rgerber@antiochca.gov. You may also text an anonymous tip to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword ANTIOCH.

Name of said perp and any priors? Perhaps a photo so we can be on the lookout for our own safety if we ever come across him?

100% release photo and name. Criminals deserve no anonymity and the community absolutely needs to be made aware if this individual. He should never see the light of day again in his life.

I am well aware, what would make you think that I don’t? I clearly didn’t state that is what was going to happen but that it should happen…

What kind of twisted pos stabs children? This is why I will not be bringing children into this earth. Those poor kids have to live with this memory forever. I hope the mother and the babies are well also.

How come this guy was able to lead the police on a 30 mile chase all the way to Cordelia?
I say give the cops free reign to stop the bad guys anyway they see fit.
Shoot or push ’em off the road before they crash into innocents.

Drugs stupidity and anger…

More like temper tantrum…drug’s.and mental illness all passed down from generation to generation

I was in the middle of the high-speed chase and happy that I was paying attention. I was at 4- way stop and it was my turn to turn left. The suspect was driving towards me with 6 or 7 cop cars with lights and sirens in pursuit. The suspect was black. He had his seat tilted back with one arm on the steering wheel driving a maroon 4-door sedan. It looked like a scene straight out of GTA!! I’m sure he was just another misunderstood great citizen who accidentally stabbed 3 people in Antioch.
