One man is dead following a solo vehicle collision early Saturday morning in Brentwood, police said.
Officers who responded to the collision on eastbound Sand Creek Road west of O’Hara Avenue at 6:16 a.m. discovered the driver unconscious behind the wheel of the vehicle, police said.
The vehicle had apparently left the roadway and hit a brick wall located eastbound and south of the road.
Paramedics got the man out of the car and tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The man’s name will not be released until the authorities can notify his family and complete their investigation into the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brentwood Police Department Traffic Safety Unit at (925) 634-6911.
Pretty good trick since the wall runs parallel to the road. There are so many ways to go. Watch out.
