San Ramon City Council To Discuss 61 Townhouse Development On 4.4 Acre Site

The San Ramon City Council on Tuesday will consider a proposal to rezone a 4.4-acre commercial site on the city’s northwest side, clearing the way for a developer to build 61 townhouse units in 10 three-story buildings.

Truemark Homes would offer 15 percent of the units at below-market rate. The project would be at 2481 Deerwood Drive.

The area currently holds a 51,000-square-foot office building that would be demolished. The project site is on the south side of Deerwood Drive between Bollinger Canyon and Deerwood roads, north of Crow Canyon Road. Bollinger Crest Apartments are to the west and single-family developments are to north and east.

The developer would remove 53 of 116 trees on the project site, 19 of which are protected oak trees under the City of San Ramon Tree Preservation and Protection Ordinance. A tree removal permit would be required, as would replacement trees on the site.

Another public hearing would likely take place Feb. 28, when the ordinance changing the zoning could be approved.

The San Ramon City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the council chamber at city hall, 7000 Bollinger Canyon Road.

The meeting can be viewed at www.sanramon.ca.gov/YouTube.

Is this another Seeno con job or a legitimate company?

If it was Seeno, the 53 trees would have already been removed. (Oops!) The remaining trees would be accidentally damaged during demolition or construction prep.

Just think of how many housing units would be available if California actually followed the law and expelled the over 2 million illegal immigrants in the state.
.
The “housing crisis” is fake. There are plenty of residential units for citizens and authorized residents of the United States.
