On Friday morning, the Concord Police Department’s Traffic Unit teamed up with City of Brentwood Police Department’s Traffic Unit to conduct directed traffic enforcement in and around school zones in the Brentwood area.

Traffic safety events such as these are made possible by a grant, awarded to the City, through the California Office of Traffic Safety.

Between the two agencies, Officers conducted over 75 traffic enforcement stops for what they refer to as “primary collision factor” violations, or violations found to cause collisions.

One of the biggest violators was driving 59 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.

The LIDAR indicates if the violator was traveling towards or away from the LIDAR unit.

Arrest on site. Impound car. Prosecute with massive fines.

Will Brentwood PD reciprocate in the future?

Did they catch Hoffensteiner again or nah?
