Antioch Parking Enforcement teamed up with Code Enforcement and the Antioch Police Department’s Traffic Unit to address a large abandoned vehicle complaint.
In total, 14 cars and trailers were towed and the City Corp Yard responded to assist with trash clean up in the street.

.
It looks like a “stub” public street which terminates at a fence.

Good. Civilized residents should not be subjected to that kind of blight which truly detracts from the neighborhood and reduces property values.

Was this on Lawton St. ?

Enlarge picture, pull picture to left following Lawton St until it ends at Lindberg Street.
Maximize picture and wonder how long all that stuff sat their for it to show up on the satellite.
.
Would thing Police patrol would have found it or code enforcement patrolling streets of Antioch.
Then again vehicle with expired tags sat out front of Grandsons residence for two years.
Took pictures of it showing plate and expired tags every six months.

There is a difference between reactive and proactive.
Thanks Bert! I thought I recognized that junk. It’s along a route I drive often… it’s been there forever.
I’ve seen the police there a couple times.
While they’re at it, why don’t tow Antioch away too?
Cheaper for a person to leave them there for the city to eventually tow than to pay dump fees. That’s the issue.
Nice to see some blight control
Those pictures weren’t even the same day they towed the cars and different vehicles got towed none of those vehicles were abandon and most of what was in the pics you guys share wasent there or had ben moved around and you see the trailers were there to haul stuff away cause those people had ben working at it so it’s nice that they cleaned it up but I don’t like the news putting things up that are far from the truth to the people and then it makes them look good when let’s not talk about how hard people worked for those things and had ben working and they just took it all even when they were trying to move them I live close by and seen this first hand and now they have no vehicle to get to work in let alone there tools then they got to pay the police $210 to get release after they register then tow fees plus storage take what little they had and put it on claycord like they did something good for who??????Thank You.
