Here’s a somewhat surprising discovery.
In 1974, the Pleasant Hill Motor Movies showed x-rated films.
The following week, the drive-in theater was showing Disney’s PG film “Herbie Rides Again.”

There were tall Italian cypress trees that lined the the back of the drive-in along 680. Driving by on 680, if you were really quick, you could catch a bare breast between the trees….the real porno days.
Concord Auto Movie drive-in around that time also was showing “X” rated films.
Nothing like seeing a Robin Red Breast in a tree.
Damn….those were really the good ole days.
Yeah Herbie was the “Love Bug” and “Herbie Rides Again” was very risque…. lots of rear ending in that movie.
