Here’s a somewhat surprising discovery.

In 1974, the Pleasant Hill Motor Movies showed x-rated films.

The following week, the drive-in theater was showing Disney’s PG film “Herbie Rides Again.”

There were tall Italian cypress trees that lined the the back of the drive-in along 680. Driving by on 680, if you were really quick, you could catch a bare breast between the trees….the real porno days.
Concord Auto Movie drive-in around that time also was showing “X” rated films.

Nothing like seeing a Robin Red Breast in a tree.

Damn….those were really the good ole days.

Yeah Herbie was the “Love Bug” and “Herbie Rides Again” was very risque…. lots of rear ending in that movie.

LOL!

Hopefully they didn’t accidentally show the x-rated version of “ Herbie rides again”

Awesome. Before the dark ages.

Nowadays my kid can find porno right in his school library.

What progress we’ve made
