I just googled the average rainfall per year for pleasant Hill and got 18.8 inches. So my town got a whole average year’s rainfall in one month. And most of that was in the last two weeks.
Crazy.
Although Mt. Diablo (Summit) got 30 inches of rain that rain ended up in lower elevation creeks and streams and is still flowing.
My father has a rain gauge and has measured 32 inches at his location, and that’s probably low because the rain filled the gauge and overflowed at some point. How is this measured?
Seeing the picture accommodating this link, I see an illuminated cross! A reminder that God has got it all in His hands. We don’t always understand. I see people caring for, and helping one another. That counts on the positive side! A dent in the long term drought, positive. Plans for the future of controlling run off in the future, positive. Property value when all is renewed, skyrocketing. Jobs locally, positive, to rebuild together.
Please, friends and those I have yet to meet, know you will get through this. You are in prayers, nationwide. Feel the love. This is an historical phenomena of wild weather. You are survivors and heroes.
