The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Northern California for Jan.14 – Jan.16.
Light rainfall is expected on Friday, then another storm approaches on Saturday with periods of rain as a cold front passes over the region.
Pre-existing saturated soils will not be able to absorb excess rainfall, and urban and small stream flooding is expected.
After a brief break early Sunday, another storm will bring more rain later Sunday into Monday, the weather service said.

I hope the SF Bay Area and Northern California gets hammered with rain.
.
Just think how much grass amd brush will grow this spring so we can all be scared by “experts” citing an “extreme” and “traumatic” fire season! Yay!
.
It’s CYCLICAL so be prepared!!
.
“Predictable is preventable”.
I Love it, the local waterways have been filled with
Water so I couldn’t see the garbage and graffiti. The homeless were gone (I assume in shelters) for a minute I thought I was in a republican run state. But the rain stopped it, won’t be long before everything is trashed up again.
You must be one of those conservatives that likes law and order, clean streets, well allocated tax dollars and common sense. We don’t believe in that here in California…… JUST SAYING
An by next Friday we’ll likely have spare the air.
